Greg Chappell: I won't resign.

I honestly can't see a few losses meaning any serious change. Is anyone really prepared to undertake the impossibly hard work (and, dare I suggest it, use of the wallet) that that requires?

I really don't want to see India take Bangladesh lightly - if only because it will continue to offer a false reflection of Bangladesh.
Perhaps your minnow theories will have to be sacrificed in the name of India's long-term success. ;)

Shameless

Look, every man who has a little bit shame left in him (like rahul) will take responsibilities and acknowledges failures. But what is this guy doing? He says that he won't retire and he makes it a family issue. He complains to his big bro and he comes out with a heavy stick and starts beating Sachin."Who made my little bro cry?You should retire little batsman"

Look cricket is a team game whether you achieve success or failure as a team its a collective effort and no one person shouldn't be given the whole credit for either.

Honestly... 8-)

Why should he take the blame for a team that under-performs and is unreliable, If you think that any of his decisions or strategy was wrong then talk about that.

It looks like you seem to have some inside information which we are not privy to. Are you Dalmia's/Powar's go-to man??

Gavaskar had been taking swipes at the aussies just before the World cup started, this is just the Aussies taking a swipe back. But it does not take a genius to conclude that its about time Tendulkar retired. Those who can't see the obvious are clutching at straws.

Whatever it takes!!!
Well, Indian Express reported right after the Sri Lanka game that Sachin, Sourav, Harbhajan, Yuvraj and Agarkar were holed up in Ganguly's room for an hour before the team departed for the ground on the morning of that match. So at the very least, this story is consistent with that earlier report of theirs... (whether it is true or not is anyone's guess. Personally, I think it is quite probable that all this did happen).

What does it mean? It's probably that all WHAT did happen? Did something happen?

Well, IE reported that the players were divided with senior pros like Sachin and Sourav along with Harbhajan, Yuvraj and AA not supporting Chappell and being aloof from the side. That is what I was referring to.

If it is true then Sachin, Sourav, AA, Yuvraj, Bhajji should be kicked out of the team for good. We went to WI to participate in the world cup and not to gang up against our coach no matter how poor he is.

As much as one dislikes Chappell's ways, there is a lot of truth in what he says and IE article kinda shows the kind of primmadonnas our cricketers have become. Take them out of their comfort zone and they start crying like bunch of babies in their wet diapers.

That is what I think too.

it is obvious here that these guys are at fault just as much as Chappell. Perhaps drop all of them and retain Dravid as captain and find ourselves a new coach?? That, good?

I'm glad about that, TBH. Never realised his contract ended after this Cup.

Nice un-messy way to finish things IMO. :thumbup1:

clearly he wasn't geting along with players and that is one of the reason they lost the world cup matches. it was just the typical asian team circumstances. a satution that they team don't get along and play like a team. if asian teams get along together and play as a team they would improve but they never get along. this the example of my statement.
