Sandeep Chanderpaul - 21 yo, BT Rating=42,700
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A destructive player with competent leadership skills and respectable experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: wonderful Concentration: superb
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent
Fielding: strong
Got a wonderful-comp bowler too but assuming that's isn't good enough for a 2nd XI spot.

Fool. It's just a way to involve people who's teams aren't as good as yours.
Edited.Fool.
If people want to make the teams, then what does it matter. Its also a good way to keep track of the people who are bordering close to the first XI.There should only be a CW 1st XI, a CW 2nd XI and a CW U19 XI, otherwise there are just too many teams. There's no point - it's against the whole idea of having rep teams - to determine who's the "best of the best".
rob, i tend to agree with your words of wisdom. There should only be a CW 1st XI, a CW 2nd XI and a CW U19 XI, otherwise there are just too many teams. There's no point - it's against the whole idea of having rep teams - to determine who's the "best of the best".
Because it's pointless? A big part of having the CW BT XI is so people can strive to have players good enough to warrant a spot in the XI - and rewarding them for doing so; with both a spot, and the prestige that goes with the ownership of a CW BT 1st XI player. If people want to make the teams, then what does it matter. Its also a good way to keep track of the people who are bordering close to the first XI.
