Even though Bond is bowling beautifully, he still isnt getting the early wickets he used to. Its just an observation I have made, but he only ever seems to take wickets in his 2nd spell, or at the death when the lower order are in, recently.
That's actually quite true, I think somebody else on these forums had brought this up earlier in the year or even late last year. Not sure what the problem is, or why he isn't picking up the wickets but when you look at how he has been bowling in this game you just have to feel the batsman aren't good enough to get an edge.

Gayle keeping his cool here though, just advanced and smashed a boundary through cover but he's not panicking. Biding his time by the looks of it.

Gayle's shot was so ugly lol, but he had to try something I guess.

Mason is supporting Bond really well.

Franklin needs to come into the attack from Mason's end.
Nah mate, Franklin bowls absolute tripe most of the time. I actually prefer Franklin to come on first change rather than opening. Around the 13th over or so is a good time for Franklin to come on IMO

Lara hasn't got the pads on so i guess he ain't coming to bat at no.3 or 4, which is bad move IMO.

Keep Mason on for his full allocation I think. Franklin may bowl a few loose ones and relieve the pressure.

Bond may come off though to save him for later. I can see Gayle going after the first change bowlers.

Mason has bowled 4 overs for 3 runs, that's a very good return. I'd bowl him out to be honest and hope that he concedes around 35 runs or something, as opposed to bringing him on later when he could get hammered.

Isn't Franklin a swing bowler so the conditions seem favourable for his type of bowling i guess.

Hmm, I still think that Lara should be batting at #4, anything lower than that and I feel he is a little wasted.

Bond gets Chanderpaul, excellent catch by Styris.

He is continually labelled as one and can be quite a good swing bowler if conditions suit, however recently he has become more of a line and length bowler and trying to focus on getting the ball into better areas. He usually goes for a few at the start and comes back quite well at the end of his spell.

Franklin is a swing bowler at test level, but when he has tried to do it in ODIs in the past, he has been pumped 99% of the time. As an ODI bowler, he's far more effective coming on as a change bowler to bowl cutters and anglers. I just hope it doesn't have a negative effect on his test bowling, which it just might..
