I'm a member of a forum about Daniela Hantuchova (but we talk about ATP too) and if we had a Greigy for tennis I reckon George from Greece would walk it with this brilliant prediction:
"Federer-Canas again, I think Canas hasn't chance, miracles aren't done every day."
Truly worthy of a Greigy!!

to be fair he wasnt the only one thinking that! Sure Canas had every chance to win but how often does Feds actually lose to the same guy twice in a row like that?

This felt way different though... wayyyyy different.

Nadal beating Federer twice in a row when it first happened was a shock, but nothing like waking up, getting on ATPtennis.com and seeing Federer once again shaking Canas' hand with his head bowed. I almost fell off my chair.

Oh and I reckon Djokovic will upset Nadal, and Robredo will beat Canas tonight. Probably be wrong on both, but just a gut feeling.

I'll admit though, my gut feelings aren't as accurate as Simon's though :p

YES! Djokovic just smashed Nadal in straight sets 6-3 6-4!

Was paying 4.00, decided to get on. Happiest man right now.

haha awesome mate, i had 20 on Roddick to beat Murray, but got refunded when he withdrew. Djokovic and Murray should both be in the top 10 next week at the expense of Nalbandian and either Blake, Ljubicic or Haas...

Djokovic and Murray have been playing awesome tennis recently and deserve their top 10 rankings. They're better players than Nalbandian and Blake at this moment in time IMO.

Robredo played some very ordinary tennis against Canas. Men's current top 10 with Robredo, Ljubicic, Gonzalez, Davydenko and Blake is much weaker than it was back in 03-05. I'm not a fan of Hewitt, but it'd be good seeing him get back in there along with Safin and Ferrero (both who are playing ordinary unfortunately).

Hopefully Djokovic and Murray can spice it up a bit as well.

imo with all the players at their best the top 10 would look something like this

1 Roger Federer
2 Marat Safin
3 Rafael Nadal
4 Tommy Haas
5 Andy Roddick
6 David Nalbandian
7 Guillermo Coria
8 Juan Carlos Ferrero
9 Fernando Gonzalez
10 James Blake

imo yes, just remember when he demolished Sampras at the US open and then when he beat Federer at the Aus, when he's in that form Rafa could throw the kitchen sink at him and still not dent him...

Safin at his best still wouldn't be ahead of Nadal.
That's debateable, they've never played each other so its tough to say who'd be better. Nadal's not as consistent as he was in 2006 so it'd be interesting. I'd back Safin personally.

I really thought Safin would make the Masters Cup this year with the way he finished last year off, which he claimed was one of his worst season ever, but it looks like this year will follow suit unless he gets his act together soon.

Ljubicic is paying 2.10 against Canas, who is paying 1.72. Amazing really, considering Canas was way in the dark only 3 months ago, and even had to qualify for the Miami Masters. I guess that's what happens when you beat Federer twice in a row lol.

completely agreed...he is really the only one with the talent to challenge federer consistently, if only he were not such a nut case...

Haha Djokovic is just that damn good. Second time in a row he's belted Murray off the court, and Murray can't use a long match against Haas as an excuse, because he got through against Roddick without even finishing a set.

Murray again proves he's not that good, hes reasonable but a player of far better potential has cleaned him up two weeks in a row...
