Ed's back? Finally!

My opponents are motoring towards victory here -- 75/2 from 14, chasing a pretty pathetic 157/10.

Dead Badger

State 12th Man
My match very much in the balance after a couple of early wickets put me back in it:

End of Over 26: 100-4, runrate=3.85, reqrunrate=3.17 (175-10)
Liddle 3-0-6-0
Rosefield* 8 (24 balls)
Ranasinghe 21 (44 balls)

I'll still have to bowl them out though, and they've got a bit of batting depth. I think they're edging it at the moment; another wicket and anything could happen. Excitement...

Meh, they ended up making 141 after being 20-5. Still a +3.04 run rate boost and my nearest league rival in trouble although it'd take a miracle for me to not win the division anyway.

Ratings were Proficient/Respectable Batting and Respectable/Respectable bowling on PAN.

Won quite easierly in the end with my openers having a day out, highest ever opening partnership i think.

Chased 70 in the final ten with only two wickets lost. Good stuff, even though I'll probably fight to avoid the play-offs again.

won today's top of the table clash against reverse sweepers. on a flat pitch we made 337/2. the majority of which was scored by duggan who made 193*. hamshaw and lennon both contributed 50s. from there we were always on top as sweepers were never quite able to get on top of the run rate at any stage. they were eventually all out for 270, hamshaw finishing with 5/59. lee who helped strangle their innings through the middle stages funnilly enough went wicketless.

the win moves us within 4 points of top. my side has one tricky fixture to go, whilst 1st has two. i'm confident that they'll lose at least one of those. zyk, who also moved within 4 points of sweepers today, have two tough games to go, the one against myself included. so basically, my sides season all comes down to how we go round 12 against zykrymyknyk or whatever they're called. win that match and i think we'll win the series, and who knows what could happen from there, although i don't really want to speculate.

Awww, shucks.

Lost to some team I thought I could beat on PAN, but his superb seam bowling was too much for me. Probably should have checked out his team first in hindsight, and changed the batting order, but ah well.

Just had a look at the recent update of BatStats. Im up to 34th overall in Sri Lanka, 9th out of Div III sides. My middle order is the 3rd best in Div III. Im pulling the 5th biggest crowds in Sri Lanka and 2nd best in Div III. Starting to move up in the world (well in Sri Lanka atleast) by the looks of things.
