Just saw who won the toss. Oh, dear Graeme.
Bit confused about this post Brumby.

Win or lose, I think you can hardly fault Graeme, considering the mental edge SA and NZ have over Australia in chasing down big totals. If the ball moved around early, advantage South Africa. If it didn't, ah well let's chase 400 with out batting line-up which stretches till 9.

SA favourites again. What that basically means is the bookies have no idea who they think is going to win, and are going up and down based on boundaries vs. dot balls. Good time to bet on either team if anyone has a certain gut feeling on who they think will win.

Haha yeah, crazy watching the in-play console together with the game. They're all over the place.

LA ICE-E

State Captain
it would be fantastic if SA won...but on the down side it shows how 20/20 is taking toll on odi (plus small fields too)

LA ICE-E,

What has 20-20 cricket got to do with this?

Anyway, is the lull in run-scoring a result of excellent bowling, circumspect batting or a mixture of both?

Tom Halsey

International Coach
They need 169 off 20 overs - basially, a not-all-that-stiff 20/20 target. No fielding restrictions of course, but they bat down to 9, as previously mentioned.

8.59 needed from SA and Bracken still has 6 overs, but the wickets down is the determining factor here for imo, a SA win.

Ponting would have been an idiot to hold on to that catch, I am glad he realised that.

Aus was back as favourite. Then RSA became fav by a fair margin with a 6. Now Aus fav again according to bookies!
