Oooh. Half a chance there? Nope, on replay it was just over the fielder.

Pitch looks soooo flat. Why would you bowl on it?

Aus runrate falls below 10-an-over shock :-O

btw is it too soon to make the obvious comments about Saf again freezing on the big occasion?

I reckon a few captains would have. Given the perception that Australia struggle defending big totals, and that the ball has been moving around in the morning. Don't think the theory about Australia has quite as much too it as some do, but the other point is fair enough. Batting might be even easier later. Not that it'll matter if Australia make 400...

Pretty rigid thinking from Fat Gray then, if that was his thought process. The sun has baked out whatever life the pitch had in it as far as I can see.

Ntini seems to be quite down on pace if the speed gun is to be believed.

Ntini restores some sanity. THe important thing here for the Aussies is to consolidate upon this flyer and not get over-excited...

Possible tough question to Mr. Brumby:

Who are you supporting? Graeme Smith's South Africa or arch enemy Australia?

Yeah, Ntini's not fully fit IMO. Wasn't at his peak pacewise in the last game either. Langeveldt to come instead of Nel too. Not so much menace in this attack, suddenly.

Great first 10 overs. Hope the guys continue in this vein...

EDIT: oh good, here comes Charl...

10.1 Langeveldt to Hayden, 1 run, tip and run. Length-delivery on the off stump line and Hayden plays with soft hands - yeah he is capable of that, don't look surprised, drops it in front of him and off they go in a flash for a run

Im sure it will have been said already. But a great gameplan from the Aussies to attack Pollock and take the Saffies away from plan A.

Making Smith think is a clever move as its debatable whether he it upto on-his-toes tactical adgustments.
