Yeah I've decided to buy another half-decent bowler rather than him because over 5m is getting way too pricey for someone who's only a strong in either primary. Unfortunately, there is only one bowler better than remarkable on the market and he's at 15m.

Going to wait until a Ralph or Summers comes on the market.

Playing the top team in my league today, and the only team that has beaten me this season. Looks like it'll probably be the same result again, chasing 323 to win. He's got one gun bowler and I'm on GFI, so I guess that's possible if I get past Poke, but not likely.

Fuller this is Poke.

Matty Poke - 19 yo, BT Rating=22,837

I know the guy off another forum.

This is also hankey :p

No one made themselves a hundred. Jephcott got out for what turns out to be the first ever score of 99 in CD's history. Dylan went for 76 and De Beer smashed himself to 66 in the final ten before getting out on the last ball of the innings.

They're already one down (a runout, though).

These guys aren't much cop, so they should succumb pretty meekly with the bat though they're doing well at the moment.

Haha, just had a look at Dwyer's game. He bowled some newbie out for 28 with Wikus taking 8-14 from 7

Chased it in less than 5 overs. Fair NRR boost there.

23/03/2007 Played a match and received £249120 in gate receipts

Playing the only team that beat me in the league so far, their coming equal 2nd. But i can't afford to go GFI as i need to be at full fitness if i have any chance of winning my playoff. Im 8 points ahead of three teams coming 2nd, so i pretty much got 1st spot secured. But i'll like to beat this team, just show them i am the best in the league.

EDIT: Should have gone GFI :@

End of Over 10: 49-0, runrate=4.90

Had a fairly comfortable victory today leaving out 4 of my top 6 players. The 4th & 5th bowlers really prevented me from bowling out the opposition cheaply unless Verhoeven or Groves had a blinder. Backup batsmen Parker then scored his Maiden ton, and Orourke 70 odd as they chased down the target for just the loss of Nieuwenhuis for a golden.

Warnervale CC 10/189 (47.3)
Francis 56(78) Extras 22, Elvins 19(26)
Verhoeven 3/24(8.3) Groves 3/26(10) Walton 2/33(9)

Clapo's XI 1/192
Parket 106*(87) Orourke 75*(77)
Corbett 1/41(7) Tarr 0/30(5)

Was actually a little bit worried i might have a fight on my hands as only Orourke & Appleyard had a primary batting above Competent.

Got drilled in my game in the end. Bowled out 128 short, with Poke taking 5. 50 to Camilleri and a vaguely decent performance from Pietersen the only highlights.

Should grab second fairly comfortably, but first is out of the question now. Probably not a bad thing, as I'd not stand a chance after promotion.

I've gotta be pretty close to resp seam, comp middle order, and strong spin. Side's getting better and better, really only lack a keeper bat (though Heads has had an admirable career) and an all-rounder.

Crap they ended up getting 265. I should be able to chase that down, but i can't believe they scored so much. Against a lot worse bowling attacks this season they have been rolled for under 200.

End of Over 50: 265-6, runrate=5.30

Playing the 4th-placed (possibly 3rd on NRR) team, who (as mentioned previously) have three seriously good players. I decided to bat first on a flat pitch, in the end, which is fairly close to dusty. Hope it does me some good.

Weirdest thing. My attendance in my league game today was recorded at over 15,000, despite the fact that my ground capacity is 11,924. I got 9,000 in gate receipts.

Should win my match pretty easierly from here, but they have slowed down a bit:

Ramanayake 1-0-4-0

Yeah it's just a bug (I'm assuming, from the sledging boards). Hoping it gets fixed soon, I'd like my ground upgrade to start paying itself off.
