I'd say the bowler is low competent as Scaly said this guy of mine;

Justin Lambert - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,702, wage 554
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, moderate
A defensive player with proficient leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: competent Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

was midlevel.

Fakhar Khattak (971539)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Up Goes The Finger
Nationality: Pakistan
Age: 18 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 10,919
Wages: £1,327 p/w

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: strong Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: competent
Fielding: worthless

Now, sadly, I'm pretty sure that he is a low strong, but can anyone confirm this?
*confirms*

At the start of the season he would have been proficient, so he'd have been trained up to strong. As such, it's hard to tell what his level would be, but unless he's been receiving something like 10 batting nets, it's safe to assume he's low strong.

And could anyone please tell me how far along the two guys below are, the second one in batting, and the first one quite obviously in bowling.

Prithu Karthikeyan (1144219)
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with mediocre leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Sad Decadent XI
Nationality: India
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 3,233 (+112)
Wages: £460 p/w
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: competent Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless
Has he been getting nets at all? If he hasn't, then he's very much bottom competent. If he has, then it depends on the amount and for how long, and you'd need Scaly to help you out cause I'm hopeless with that. Same goes for the other player, I've no idea due to the keeping as well.

1. Gary Follett £ 9,750,000 (opening price)
Plays for: Milton's XI Stamina: quality W/Keeping: woeful
Age: 21 years old Batting: sensational Concentration: masterful
BT Rating: 114,973 Bowling: abysmal Consistency: strong
Deadline: 22/03/2007 0:41 Fielding: strong

Ha ha some decent stamina on this bloke.

Meh it's been like that for ages, seen heaps of players on the market with quality stamina. If you click on a player's stamina on the squad page the pop-up thing only shows the levels up to superb, but if you click on it on the transfer list it goes up to elite. It would probably take a couple of minutes to fix but Allan cbf I guess, no big deal really.

I'm giving thought to signing this guy as my new batting trainee -

Fakhar Khattak (971539)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Up Goes The Finger
Nationality: Pakistan
Age: 18 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 10,919
Wages: £1,327 p/w

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: strong Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: competent
Fielding: worthless

Now, sadly, I'm pretty sure that he is a low strong, but can anyone confirm this? He also has a cautious temperment, which I'm not overly keen on. However, having been keeping an eye on the market now for quite some time, players worth spending money on are always overpriced.. This guy appears to be in good shape stamina wise, so I think he'd be a decent move. Anyhow, any comments would be appreciated

Yea virtually rock bottom across the board, his minimum BTR is roughly 10500. That difference in BTR is equivalent to, for instance, strong + 2 weeks @ one net with everything else at the lowest possible sublevel.

Dhiren Moodley (1096797)
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with mediocre leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Sad Decadent XI
Nationality: India
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 10,005 (+606)
Wages: £877 p/w
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: mediocre Concentration: respectable
Bowling: worthless Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

As said Prithu Karthikeyan was low when his wage was recalculated. As for Moodley I'd have to know when his keeping popped to tell anything. His BTR is too mid-ranged to work anything out

Okay chaps (and chapesses, if there are any around here), I have a problem.

On Friday I'm playing Sherwood CCC. They're not a bad side, and managed to beat me earlier this season by 5 runs, thanks to the most evil BT collapse I've ever been involved with.

They have:

Singh BTR=174k RF bowler (cautious) who can bat a bit
Chanderpaul BTR=164k batsman (cautious)
Fredericks BTR=102k LFM bowler (attacking)
Not much else (leading BTRs then go 33k...27k...12k...)

Singh and Chanderpaul are both India NT players.

In our last game, Chanderpaul took them to 268ao. I then withstood the initial onslaught of Singh and Fredericks, with Reed and Sandwith taking me to 252/2. Only 17 runs to get, and 8 wickets to play with. I was all out for 263.

It was a hard & fast pitch.

My seamers are F and FM, nowhere near the standards of theirs. My spinner is considerably better, however...but they've got two spinners for the middle overs.

So, I have no idea what pitch to go with. I'm thinking dusty, as it's the best to negate their two good bowlers...and I'd just have to hope that John, my spinner, gets them out.

If I go for a greentop, Fredericks is going to get me. It looks like being sunny though, which might help.

Cracked and uneven, I'm just not going to go near.

H&F is going to favour good batsmen and good fast bowlers -- my opponent has the best batsman and the best fast bowler.

Perhaps flat -- I could aim to restrict his scoring rather than bowl him out.

Or slow? I've got very little experience of slow pitches in BT.

Any ideas, anyone?
