Personally I simply can't understand you guys who are still willing to keep going with this nonsense, after today's events - that's not aimed at anyone specific, mind.

The world carries on - it's a cricket forum, if there are other subjects to discuss and someone feels like they've got something to add to it, the unfortunate death of a high-profile person shouldn't stop them. I know it's not aimed at anyone, but you've already made this point on several different threads. We get it - it's just that not everyone agrees with you and I see their reasoning.

It's not that The World doesn't go on, I'm well aware of that, I just think that it's right that some things - especially petty, stupid prittle-prattle like this - should stop, temporarily. I couldn't give a flying **** about subcontinent-Australia flame-wars or whether Ricky Ponting's 5th or 6th-best in 12 or 16 years. OK, Bob Woolmer's death means different things to different people - I'm inconsoleable, myself, but obviously not everyone is going to be so affected. I will say, though, sorry if I'm coming over too The-World-must-stop.

I know that Everyone is deeply shocked about the day's events, but the world goes on even how shattered and shocked we are.

Offcourse the world goes on but what Richard meant was that "Can we put a little stop and pause to the legal but un-fair stuff" for a little while ???
I mean to show some respect "Can we try and tame down the inner importance seeking clown for a little while" ?
I know that there are so many legal issues regarding the un-timely closure of the threads but for me reading this stuff is sick and honestly I did answer in the thread on a couple of occasion but you can see that I tried to divert the sickness of this thread ....
I would like this thread to be closed honestly but I know that I have no legal right to say that but anyways !!!!
It sure is a dark day for the game !!!

Whatever it takes!!!
I think Ricky praised Tendulkar to just show everyone that he doesn't have anything against the Indian team or any Indian players and he and his team are far from the devils that Gavaskar's has accused them to be.
nope, I think Punter genuinely rates Sachin very very high and I think the article was written prior to Sunny's attack on Australia.

What article are you and pup11 referring to Honest?
I think it was some article Ponting wrote for an Australian daily, probably Sydney Morning Herald. He talks about all great players who will probably retire after this WC or at least, wont play in the next WC.

I remember a Test in Adelaide seven years ago. He didn't score off his first 30 or 40 balls in more than an hour at the crease.

I remember running past Lara and letting him know that. The next session he turned it on and finished with about 150 and thanked me after the game for getting him going.

That's why I don't say anything, and the team tries not to fire him up.
Haha that's so cool. Gotta love Lara.
