meh...Anderson and Plunkett are both very ordinary
I wouldn't say Anderson is ordinary. He's very inconsistent, but usually when he stays fit and strings a decent number of games together he starts bowling pretty well in ODIs, and he can be reasonably accurate. Plunkett's pretty average though. Can bowl some great deliveries, but he's all over the place most of the time.

Nah, just another talentless pretty boy with a model for a girlfriend. I thought England would have learnt their lesson with David Beckham ?

Plunketts quite young, and bowlers usually mature later on in their bowling careers. If he develops his batting he could well develop into a bowling allrounder in the vein of Shaun Pollock.

Anderson didn't exactly look talentless when he carved up NZ in the first England v NZ match in the CBA series.

Why is Anderson considered good looking? I don't get it - maybe cause I'm not gay, or smth - but I'd reckon about a third of the English team is about as good looking.

Maybe it's one of those cases like Britney Spears or Robbie Williams, where one's SUPPOSED to think they're good looking because that's how they try to project themselves, when they're pretty average looking really.

wow. not really been keeping up to date with CW whilst i've been on tour but i'd have thought it would be a long time before i'd have found someone more annoying than scaly but from the posts i've seen Richard has been a complete ****wit over the last couple of days. New lows being plumbed.

Good win by NZ btw

Well, all bowlers mature - not that many get much better, though.

And you're expecting a lot if you expect Liam Plunkett to get much better, TBH.

Because the England cricket selectors have so much to do with the England football manager(s)?

Anderson was selected, too, LONG before he even met Lloyd, who is infinately prettier than Victoria Adams has ever been and will ever be.

Haha, read the Who Posted? last night and was kinda :-O at the number I'd managed to put in.

It wasn't a conscious decision, BTW - just sort of happened.

- Is it me or does Anderson have a weird action? He whips his head down so low at the point of delivery that he's not even looking where he's bowling. It's kinda strange to watch. Maybe that's the reason for his lack of accuracy?
He's always had it - and it's probable that if he tried to change it many things would go wrong. Bowling-actions should not be radically altered lightly.
- Plunkett looks like he could be developed into a genuine all-rounder. They should take that chance and go with it - train his batting. His bowling needs some accuracy, but he could end up as a very useful all-rounder for England in the future.
That's if he ever becomes a half-decent bowler, which is extremely unlikely.

According to the Beeb, English team management fined several team members after being out late in a nightclub following their defeat against NZ.
