Reading cricinfo, it looks like another astonishingly thick dismissal. We really have handed them this on a plate, with pretty much every wicket being donated.

Will be difficult to lose this from here. Nixon's scored a 50 against us before, though, and we know NZ have in the past perfected low-scoring... so can't count our chickens yet.

I hate it when the commentators say things like 'Credit to Fleming as well. He realised that this was the crucial stand, called up his premier bowler, and it paid off.'. It's hardly rocket science to bring on your best bowlers, when you can scent victory.

Freddie out first ball

Ah I know the game might not be exciting anymore, but who cares.

NZ should win this now.

And both Pietersen and Flintoff were out to slower-balls, too...

Hate to bang the point home but it's called "accurate bowling".

Well, you'd kind of expect that at this level. But KP & Fred must know that they're our best hope and that Bond's the oppo's best bowler, so surely you just make damned sure you don 't get out to him, and not give catching practice. It's not rocket science, is it? Obviously too much for our brave lads, even if they are as thick as pig****.
And that's before we even think about how the top 3 got themselves out.

Funny, though, how often you see waywardness. Being accurate ain't as easy as it seems.

TBF, it was good slower-ball bowling, both of them were just beaten by that.

The whole NZ attack has bowled good and accurately, the English batsmen have had to take risks, the pitch is not without it's tricks, and wickets have fallen.

Pretty good ODI bowling, if you ask me.
