Six off the over from Vettori, unlike him. Surely time to bring in the fielders to stop the singles. They could rapidly push up the run rate if they're allowed to get away with that.

This is a fantastic partnership. Batting really well in pretty difficult conditions. Fleming needs to do something.

Can't happen often, really - Patel just smashed for a massive six, though.

OK, OK, patience patience!!!

I though David was sounding rather like you in his semi-cynical comments about our awfulness.

Thought you'd take it as a compliment, too! ;)

And d'you remember that furore about Langer being called a brown-nose-knome on CricInfo a couple of years ago?
It is a compliment, to be fair!!

Can't say I do remember that - this may shock you but I think I discovered cricinfo after I discovered Cricketweb

Perhaps, or bowl someone else and not take the full 20 from the spinners.
If Vettori doesn't bowl 10 they're in trouble.

And Patel, too, really.

I was hoping we might see a full 10 from all of Bond, Oram, Vettori, Franklin and Patel, TBH, but maybe I was living in cloud-****oo-land hoping for bowlers to do the bowling.

It's pretty standard for NZ to use a sixth bowler. Should be interesting to see how it fares, even if it's only for two overs.
