LOL cheers Rich - it's fairly common for me to be called Geraint on CW. I don't mind :)

Its raining lightly according to yahoo weather @ 7am local time. Lets hope weather doesn't play a part and play starts on time

Apparently today's weather is forecasted for the week, which doesn't look too good for the WC. :( Fingers crossed it will go away, and even when it's around the games will go on.

It says on cricinfo that the SA-Netherlands game is delayed due to weather, but there's no mention of the England game?

Almost time to watch the build-up. Hopefully the images are that of playable weather. Fingers crossed.

I've stocked up the fridge and ready for some cricket. The weather better not let me down :(

Are you from South Africa? I always though you were English, but Richard said in his massive thread in OT, "it's good to see another South African at CW" about you..

It doesn't look toooo bad.

Anyone local or near Gros Islet who can give us an idea of conditions?

Although bbc says groundstaff are desperately trying to mop-up after a 90-minute downpour earlier today.

No I was born in England and speak with an East London accent but both my parents are not English. Mother's side were of Dutch/South African extraction so nepotism states that I should support both teams today though no mixed loyalties this afternoon, Proteas all the way. I support England first but I do have a strong affection for South Africa and I regularly go there for holidays and what not.
