Battle of the AFL Stars

Can we make this from 1990-2007? Would get alot more legends in and would be a much better battle, imo.
Yeah why not hey, if it means more quality players, it can only help. Either that or, we could do 20 years, 86-06?

Ablett vs Carey in the final, if it's 86-2006

Do it how you were originally gonna do it Clapo. Do each decade, and the winners play off in the final. If you use 32 players each time, it won't be that hard.

Will let the people decide on that one. After thinking about it, doing it decade by decade would require more work, but if thats what others want, i'll do it that way. Otherwise, i'm happy to do 1986 - 2006

1996 - 2006 will work better imo.

As Buddh said, it becomes fairly predictable once you include Ablett, Dunstall etc.

Please tell me your kidding about Tarrant & Cloke

Anyway.... need to get this happenin.

Want a definite yes or no answer. Would you prefer 2 battles of 86-96, and 96-06, or 1 from 86-06 ??

One massive one IMO, its easier to then judge players. Otherwise there's the whole "were they at their best before 86? After 96? Before 96?"

Who cares if Ablett/Carey is almost a guaranteed final, its the same with other battles. The fun thing is seeing who gets as far along the way, and who people think is better, Lockett or Dunstall. Williams or Matera. Che ****atoo Collins or Hickmott

 Che >> Hickmott, such a gun name.

Anyway, good point you raise about "they were best before/after". Probably the main reason i'm leaning towards 1 big one :)

CBF with doing 1 big 20year battle. A) Because i'm lazy, B)I have virtually no knowledge of pre 96 afl & C)To much effort.

So, i have the following list of players who played at some stage from 96-06. The final battle will have 32 players, so please nominate who you think should be culled from the list. Also, if you think that any player should definetly be in there, please suggest them, and who they should replace (note if the majority disagree, no change will be made).
