Any word on development for ICC07 as I am starting to tire of ICC 05 and do not want to pay AUD$40 for a data update (even if it does have Twenty20 stats).

Plus, use this thread as The Ultimate Idea thread for ICC07 and beyond!

some ideas for future ICC's - mostly based on international play as im australian

- more comprehensive youth player system, maybe an option to put young players in an institute to help their chances of becoming test quality - ability to hand out 25 international contracts?
- fix up sub-continental dominance - Pak, Ind, SL, Bangladesh all start the game with too many amazing players, based on inflated averages. By the second season Bangladesh are beating teams everywhere with their army of spinners, India only need Kumble & Harbhajan in their team to beat anyone, meanwhile Murali cant even get a game for Sri Lanka because of an apparent over-abundance of bowling depth?
- more stats. top 10s for runs, wkts etc. career records. ability to view players previous seasons, not just last year.
- ability to see a forecast on your home pitch and weather conditions before having to choose your test XII
- fielder & wicketkeeper ratings
- better AI when selecting teams. If Harbhajan has just taken 30 wickets at 10 in his last 2 tests, then he should be picked in the next test, even if it is a pacemans wicket
- more unpredictable play from the computer - going for it early in an ODI or even a test, not declaring at 600, declaring at 7/150 and sending the other team in to gain an advantage. occasionally not enforcing the follow-on.
- ability to see a players fitness before you select him in an international squad
- notices sent when players retire
- players retiring from international cricket only. players shouldnt play for their county in between tests when theres only like 3 days off - not realistic & they burn out
- bowlers SHOULDNT LOSE FORM for taking 0/20 off 10 overs in a one-dayer!
- an all-time league or player roster where i can choose ANY test player in history and put them against anyone else, thus creating an opportunity to play the WI 80's team vs the current Aus team, or pick Ambrose to bowl to Bradman, Warne to Sobers etc
- Aus State competitions :)

Still Waiting...

Any one, anywhere in the world, hear anything on a new ICC game coming soon? World Cup is almost upon us and there is not even a hint as far as I have heard.

Anyone?

It doesn't seem hugely different to me, just new graphics, which is, in my opinion, the thing that least needs updating.

Shall wait and see though.

Hahaha, they aren't actually new features... just vague attempts to talk it up. "Algorithms and parameters in the game are individually set for each player." Incredible stuff.
