End of Over 20: 85-2, runrate=4.25, reqrunrate=4.03 (205-10)
Spring 5-1-17-1
Paris* 20 (37 balls)
Pollard 0 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Coates c & b. Spring 40 (FOW: 81/2)

Should do it comfortably from here bar a minor miracle from there Superb/Superb allrounder Spring who the pitch is tailor made for. Coates got out to him just got to block out his last 5.

Mr Mahindinho, can you choose to bat first so that we have a game of more than an hour please :)
Reed and Sandwidth won't let me :p

End of Over 34: 159-2, runrate=4.68, reqrunrate=2.94 (205-10)
Spring 7-1-24-1
Pollard* 33 (40 balls)
Paris 55 (88 balls)

Last Wicket: Coates c & b. Spring 40 (FOW: 81/2)

Crusing here although Paris is bizarrely going so slowly normally is doing a bit better than this against teams like this who are barely worth playing :p.

Im getting pretty good at this bot bashing:

White Knights 51 All Out Priyantha 3/17(5), Sishayi 3/11(3.3), Sisk 2/9(4), Jeithoon 2/10(5)

lost to

Jaffna Jets 0/55 Clayton 33(25), Lucas 21(26)

Ratings were Proficient/Competent Batting and Respectable/Respectable Bowling on PAN. Very happy with the Respectable spin rating and first time i've got a Respectable seam rating without a full strengh pace attack. I played PAN as this team beat the team coming 2nd and i needed a NRR pick me up. Im playing a similar bot next week, better batting but worse bowling. I might go TIE and playing a full strength pace attack.

Opened with Whitehorne on a dusty:

End of Over 6: 22-4, runrate=3.67
Whitehorne 3-0-8-3
Summers* 11 (12 balls)
Lund 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcgreal c. Ashton b. Whitehorne 0 (FOW: 22/4)

Probably end up having to chase 130 with Summers 100*.

Mr Mahindinho, can you choose to bat first so that we have a game of more than an hour please :)
Heh, will do!

You'll get a nice flat pitch, BTW, with Reed and Sandwith dropped down to the middle order...probably 5 and 6.

Bowling-wise, Hirst will get a rest, and I'll probably open with Brooker (FM) and John (Sp), with Gibb (FM) set v.def and some muppet* to follow, with Verma (F) on as the fifth bowler. Something like that, anyway.

* Youth from a week or two ago. Only pulled for friendlies -- can't remember his name or what he's like!

In today's match, I chased down 144 comfortably -- Perry and Hayward, my cannon fodder-ish openers, lasted for bloody ages before slowing right down (they've got bobbins stamina) and getting out, allowing Reed to come in and blast 38 from 29 balls.

31614 attendance is nice, with ratings...oh bugger, the load has caused my phone to crash. I can't be arsed to reboot it just yet. I'm sure the ratings are pretty, anyway ;)

Hmm, Watkins got Summers for 13, turning into a bit of a rout now.

End of Over 10: 29-6, runrate=2.90
Whitehorne 5-0-13-4
Swift* 1 (3 balls)
Little 0 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Lund c & b. Whitehorne 4 (FOW: 28/6)

What levels are your seamers at Mahindinho? I've been getting quality seam with remarkable/exquisite, wonderful/prof, superb/resp and strong/med. The last three are all very close to popping though.

Bowled them out for 44, Crawford and Baird sharing the last four wickets. Might open with Whitehorne more often until Crawford is a bit better developed.

Coursework meant I didn't get time to set my orders, which only really meant I PAN'd instead of TIE'd, with the effect of the bot-bashing being more extreme.

151 run victory for me, on a TIE. I have absolutely no idea how one of the five active teams in my league contrived to lose to this shower last week. Hopefully someone a bit more competent will promote into our league next season. Not too competent, of course. :D

Next three matches could go either way, though; going to be an exciting few weeks. Hopefully my three TIE wins in a row will be enough to carry the day on fitness and morale.

finally resumed normal service against former div I.1 side korn fed after some weeks of bt turning against my sides batsmen. batted first and made 291/2. duggan hit 126 and was backed up by fry (65) and hamshaw (84*). my bowlers delt with his batsmen gradually and they were all out in the 43rd over for 176. lee and vermaak taking three each whilst hamshaw and sweeney picked up two.

next week i face 2nd before facing the unbeaten league leaders in a fortnight. i'm pretty sure i'll beat the table topping side (this time i won't be taking it easy), but i'm not so sure about next week. napier proved quite bothersome in our past 2 meetings. last season he smashed me, a result that ultimately cost me the title and promotion, while we managed a 2 wicket win in round 2. at his home ground i just can't see how we can prevail. my side will soon be sitting on 10mil+, so if we're able to unload some of that on a new batsmen, i think that things will change though, and that could make all the difference. i still think first are catchable, there are sides in the league that should be able to beat them. for my side its a matter of remaining unbeaten for the rest of the season. i think we can do it
