Think I might still be tempted to play Lewis instead of Panesar as well, you've got Dalrymple anyway as a spinner (along with KP) - even if it ends up being a spinner's pitch Panesar wouldn't do anything particularly earth-shattering (might pick up 2-40 if he's lucky whereas Lewis could produce a much more telling bowling analysis in the right circumstances). When you play Panesar you lose a lot of Dalrymple's bowling really because of the death overs and power plays there's not much flexibility for two spinners to both bowl many overs, Panesar ends up taking most of Dalrymple's workload. Lewis can bowl pretty much anytime in the first 40 overs, Panesar can only bowl after 10 overs, before the slog starts and while the power play hasn't been taken, so again the flexibility helps with the argument for Lewis over Panesar.

Some good stuff from the minnows last night. Any (legal) highlights on the net anywhere?
Yes, Ireland gave SA a bit of a hurry up and have every chance of beating Zim and perhaps giving Pak or the Windies a scare if they get the rub of the green. (get it?..."rub of the green"...oh never mind).

Kenya competed well with the host nation too

That's not a bad idea. England could play Lewis, Flintoff, Anderson, Plunkett, with Collingwood, Dalrymple and Pietersen chipping in for the 10.
