Pseudo-Jock IMO.

C'mon England, got a feeling this is going to be brutal first few minutes.

Unbelievable set of anthems.

Never seen so many massive men crying with passion, half the Irish side had tears streaming. Impossible to watch that without being moved....

I am from Lancashire. It comes from not being able to ever bring myself to support England union after the ***** they've been over the years, England's union and football teams boring me death anyway, and just wanting to be different. Dad's scottish, so they're as good as anyone.

Plenty of cheap shots.

Irish are playing the game well here, MASSIVE tackle from Tait!

EDIT: This is shocking, we're getting killed. 50 on the cards here tbh. To think I sacked off a night out for this.

Bravo White, get within two tries and do that. People who give penalties like that away the manager/coach should just tell them they ain't playing for a couple of months.

We've been killed today, utterly mauled and that was shocking from Perry. Awful, awful, awful.

I'm ashamed of our rugby team at the moment, the crap we served up in the autumn is here to stay. Depressed.

Wilkinson in doubt. Again...

File this story under "inevitable but spirit-crushing". :(

The RFU & the clubs have really got to sort it out. We're trying to compete with the best in the world with one hand tied behind our backs all the time. The All-Blacks sit their 22 best players out of the Super 14 for fitness training & our boys are having lumps knocked out of them in club games between internationals, S'not right.

Hmm. On 11th Feb I said this (note emboldened bit):

They won't win @ Twickers. French wins there are as rare as hens' teeth & usually down to monumental flukes. If Jonny and/or Farrell plays we'll win.
Then laid down the gauntlet:

& the French have won twice at Twickenham since 1987, both of which were massive flukes. I'll put my avatar on it for a month if you fancy taking the French.
Which Bennett took up:

I'll go that.
Ladies & gentlemen, I present (courtesy of the Beeb) England's team to play France on Sunday:

England team: J Lewsey (Wasps); D Strettle (Harlequins), M Tindall (Gloucester), M Catt (London Irish), J Robinson (Sale); T Flood (Newcastle), H Ellis (Leicester); T Payne (Wasps), G Chuter (Leicester), J White (Leicester), M Corry (Leicester), T Palmer (Wasps), J Worsley (Wasps), T Rees (Wasps), N Easter (Harlequins).
Replacements: L Mears (Bath), S Turner (Sale), L Deacon (Leicester), M Lund (Sale), S Perry (Bristol), S Geraghty (London Irish), M Tait (Newcastle).

No Jonny or Farrell. We're (& I'm) buggered. Fat Gray Smith for a month. :(

Firstly, no Jonny = arse. Secondly, dropping Danny Grewcock = madness. Thirdly, moving Corry to the second row even though he's only ever played there for England once (RWC '03) = absolute lunacy :ranting:

The positives I can see are:
* White coming in to start (in a way I'm glad Vickery's injured because he'd have been dropped a while a go if he wasn't captain)
* Lewsey moving to fullback with Strettle & Robinson as wings - that's more like the pace we need! I think Josh is a far better fullback than Morgan.
* Mike Catt starting at centre

Oh dear, what a gimme from Scotland after all the work to be level.

Fortunately there's a bit of violence in this game to keep it interesting...
