Whatever it takes!!!
My dark horse is Lara, for some reason.

Apart from that, Hussey, Yuvraj, Jayasuriya and Gilchrist.

Yeah, I like left handed batsmen. :p

Haha, I was only joking, mate. Strauss (opening or at four) is about as bad a ODI player as you could wish for. :p

But why?

Anyway if Asif plays and has not been fatigued to death so far, I fully expect him to do extremely well at the WC. He may be a druggie, but he's a hell of a bowler, and I think India would gladly give a couple of Sehwags and Sreesanths to have him in its team.

As-If has done nothing of note in onedayer, has not even taken 4 wkts in a match.Sehwag and Sreesanths on other hands are match winner and gentlemen, unlike As-If, who is a cheat.

If As-If plays then he should have "Nandrolone company's logo" on his shirt rather than that of Pak cricket team

You sure your not getting him mixed up with Shaun Pollock?
Why target Samuels? Why is he any less likely to be PotWC than say, Graeme Smith? Samuels is twice the bowler Graeme Smith is and has been in arguably better batting form. That Samuels bats and bowls, when Smith is really a batsman who bowls very occasionally, should place him in better stead, surely. It's not like Smith is in breathtaking batting form.

btw I agree with the guys talking up Marlon Samuels. I reckon Samuels and Ross Taylor are the 2 wildcards for the 2007 World Cup

FWIW ...

Pollock, Ponting, Pietersen, Bond & Gayle

Generally speaking, I wouldn't expect much from any batsman below the top 3 given the state of the attacks and the likely state of the wickets. KP's an exception as England's top 3 are so iffy.
