Won by 308 runs, could anyone with experience tell me whether I'd be competitive in V with these ratings? If not, what do I need to improve most badly? These are on TIE.

Hmm think you'd really struggle in V. The most important thing is seam bowling in my opinion so that'd be the first thing to improve.

Ok, thanks Scaly. What do you reckon I should improve my stadium too? It's currently at 10000 which I filled today, but I don't want to spend too much improving it once I start losing spectators when I'm getting mashed in V.

Difficult to say, you'd obviously fill extra capacity this season but probably wouldn't next season. I'd probably just leave it and invest the money in your team instead.

Depends which leage, of course; those ratings plus most of a season's worth of training would be fine in mine, for example. I mean, by rights I shouldn't be anywhere near the top of a div V at this point, but I'm still third after today, having played all the "tough" teams once.

Cymru Gurgitaters' captain, Neale Patel, launched a scathing attack on his own fans in a post-match press conference today , after just sixteen thousand of them turned up to see his side dismantle a Team Lightning side containing one former England cap, and another surely destined for international honours.
"Three weeks ago you couldn't get a seat in this place, we have a couple of bad results and all of a sudden it's a third empty! It's up to those eight thousand people to look themselves in the mirror in the morning…But they're not fans in my book!"
After a week of trial by media, following a lacklustre showing against promotion hopefuls Hoveshire Hawks last time out, Patel's men did at least put on a vintage performance for those who did turn up. Patel called correctly, asking Team Lightning to field, and first to banish the demons of last week was eighteen-year-old Kiwi rooky seamer John Wilde. In contrast with last week's debut stats of 0/89, today he struck with his very first delivery, when England hopeful, Martyn Menzies, (Replete with a sixty-nine thousand Pounds a week price-tag) came forward to a full-length away-swinger, only to play and miss, stranding himself well out of his crease.
"The lads have been giving me a bit of gyp in the dressing-room, it's kind'a a bit embarrassing for a seamer to get a stumping for his first wicket…But what can I say?...It was a fantastic bit of work from DinDins <Dinner-time> (Joe Noon) and I guess they all count! - At least it'll be one to tell the grandkids about!"
And, at the club famous for their outlandish nicknames, how long will it be before Wilde is re-christened Pringles - Because once he popped he just couldn't stop, striking again in his first five over spell to lure visiting skipper Nash into the hook, off which he was caught brilliantly low-down by Bent at Square-Leg for 8. Bewers bowled No.3, all-rounder Hulse, and Wynne-Willson threw down the stumps on the turn with No.5 Gould well short of his ground, to leave the Lightning innings in tatters, on 38/4 after ten.
But what could have been a rout of monumental proportions was staved off by the old head of former England keeper Isaac Lawson, who posted a debut century (104/114), after his £3M transfer from Indian side Razorbacks. Mind you, he had to do something pretty spectacular to justify his one hundred and twenty-nine thousand per week salary - Or to put it another way - His £1240 per run Salary! He was accompanied in a 67 run fifth wicket stand, by Resp Van Zy, whose 15 (43) came at a much more economical £60 per run!
However, when Cash had Van Zy caught at Backward Point, and the comfortably-off Lawson became the second fat-cat to be weighed down by his money-bags outside his crease, (St.Noon/B.Bridges M), the end was neigh. Bewers 2/26, Wilde 3/27 and Bridges M 2/30, finished off the tale to leave Team Lightning with a virtually undefendable total of 167 A/O. Cash was the other successful bowler with 2/51, and Bent was nonetheless impressive, despite going wicketless, his ten miserly overs yielded just 31 runs.
The reply was as close as you get at this level to a cake-walk. Openers Staveley and Patel blazed away at seven-per-over before Patel lost concentration - Along with his Off Stump! - From an innocuous Gould Off-Spinner for 34 (39) But The Gurs star turn, Doug Greening, (Who in comparison takes home a paltry eight and a half thousand Pounds per week) picked up where Patel left off, and his 33* (30)supported Alton Staveley to within a whisker of his century - As the total was reached with Staveley stranded on 96* (79)
But it was perhaps Patel's parting shot which will stick in the memory longer than the match itself.
"Well, the guys who stayed away today missed a treat. I think that's probably the best we've played since I've been here….We've beaten a team with two guys who earn, between them, around seven times our total wage-bill! - And we haven't just beaten them! - We've stuffed them by nine wickets inside half our overs. The fans say they want Trev to invest more in the team, get super-stars in like they have..Where are those guys today…They're a joke!"

Interesting i just got a bid for 2 mil for Marc Ferrier..
Not sure what im going to to do with the money, should i save until i have a couple free nets and go with one batsmen short. Or look to buy a new opening batting to improve the balance of my batting line up. I really just want a strong plus batsmen with gun secondaries. At present this is the best guy in my price range on the market, but tbh i rather better secondaries:

Is it possible to lose to bot team? The team coming first in my league who beat me last game just lost to a bot. Mind you the bot still has some good players, but seriously. Oh well should put me back at the top of the table.
