Bugger. Got dumped out of the cup by a few runs. My own fault, really - I TIEd against a half-decent Div IV team, in preparation for two tough league games. Slightly better batting ratings than mine (with strength in depth, too), and bowling ratings not too shabby either. Ended up losing by 13 runs.

The chase wasn't looking too bad at 100/0...but then it seems to have gone to pot. I haven't really looked yet (was too hacked off), but think it was the spinners applying pressure and then the tail not being able to stay in there during the slog overs and keep Sandwith company.

I'm thinking about putting Sandwith up the order a bit (from #4 to #3), just 'cos he sometimes gets a bit wasted. At other times, however, he comes in and wins matches just as Reed starts to flag.

Ho hum, at least I'll have some friendlies to test things out now :(

Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: woeful Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: REMARKABLE Consistency: remarkable
Fielding: feeble

Keith Fish - 17 yo, BT Rating 8,775
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, strong batting form, strong bowling form, lively
A destructive player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: respectable Concentration: WOEFUL
Bowling: worthless Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal
That's something like three pops in four weeks for Fish. :)

Not sure what I'll be doing with Brooker. Much as I'd like to train him up to Wonderful, it'd take until next season...and I need the net. Hirst should pop to Remark/Remark in the next two weeks...same age, same skills, just LF rather than RFM...will stop training him, too.

Batting is not right on par but very close Spin Bowling is a bit behind but Seam is slightly ahead.
I just had a look through both our squads and it does look like our top five are quite similar. I might have a slight advantage due to the fact i have three superb batsmen and my two strong batsmen are a month away from superb themselves. Also interms of primarys my bowling attack is probably on par with your top five. Whereas your bowling attack is a bit behind. Overall both our batting lines up are made of contributers rather then any real superstars, it could come down to how many of our fives make starts and if any of them go on.

Bowling wise you seem to have the advantage in secondaries, but your three weakest bowlers have average secondaries, well atleast on par with mine. Overall i have an advantage in primarys.

Looking at our top players both Jeithoon and Paris are on par, so there battle should be interesting. Looking at it i think Muralitharan could be the difference, as your squad doesn't have a top all rounder or a top spinner.

I think we might have a slight advantage overall so it should be a close game. If the Pup side that played Dwyer turns up you got a good chance, whereas if the side that played Gundry turns up, we could win quite easierly. Hopefully its close though.
