Collingwood has turned them around imo, took a stunner, then has been gunning it in the field

9/82. Fair collapse.

253 is very chasable on this surface. England should really win this one. Australia have a full strength bowling attack for the first time this series though (bar Symonds), so it should be interesting anyway.

Still no sign of this great allrounder the Aussie's **** on about
8-) 1st innings back in the national side after an injury break, batting at a position he's uncomfortable in, with the tail, whilst trying to blast a quick innings, get off his back

Why is 7 unfamiliar? He's an allrounder. That's where they bat. Get off his penis

That innings is really a perfect example of why Watson should never bat #7. He looked like a million dollars with his technique - perfectly executed drives and back foot punches - before getting up trying to hit over the top which he clearly dislikes. Unless he is going to score slower than the likes of Clarke batting in the top - which, given his strike rate in the top order is over 80, is unlikely - then I see no reason why he should be down at 7.

Fiery will no doubt use this innings as some sort of justification for Watson being crap but anyone with half a cricket brain who watched his innings will see otherwise. It's not like I came in here waving my arms about when Oram got out cheaply in the last game either... or when he bowled absolutely tripe all series. So I think I'll take Sean's lead and try to ignore Fiery on the Watson issue.

Jeez you're dire. He bats in the top order for Queensland and when he's had success in the Australian team its been as an opener or at 4. That's like saying that Gilchrist should bat at 7 because that's where keepers bat.

England have a good tactic, saving flintoffs overs to the end. Australia should start playing the 30-40 overs like they do the last 10 and see where he bowls.

Haha, I know I said I'd ignore you re: Watson, but I can't resist with this one.

The fact that he is an allrounder has little relevance to which position he is farmilar batting is. I suppose you think Kallis should bat at 7 then? Watson is a very similar player to Kallis, albeit not in the same league.

You're the dire one Matt79. No one can convince me Watson is an international top-order batsman. Get off the grass
