Imagine the hype if Flintoff produced the kind of knock Afridi just did.

If by being right, therefore gives me away then so be it.

I will not bring myself down to the likes of your level by putting on a stupid act in order to survive,

I also refuse to join the impressionable Flintoff cheerleader groupies in order to conform with such mindless sheep.
Oh, yeah... bye...

Till next time, anyway. What's the betting on his next alter-ego?

swinging it both ways

Excuse me,Flintoff is a seam bowler who when I have seen him bowl has never "swung it both ways".Have you seen him bowl in the last couple of years?.He's a bowler who hits the pitch hard.Hoggard is a perfect example of a swing bowler in overcast conditions.

"Paul Nixon is the best wicketkeeper in the world at the moment. His collection is absolutely superb up at the stumps and to the fast bowlers. It's a shame he's been given the opportunity so late because he has been one of the best for a while."

Rashid Latif believes England have one clear positive from their CB Series nightmare ... well he did make 49 against New Zealand

BWAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahah
I smell a rat here tbh
An eighth DVD incorporating the words "Freddy" and "Fireworks" would be rushed off the production reels, by first thing monday, and he would be hailed as Sir Garfield Botham by the press.

Of course Afridi won't be given a similar degree of credit, for an innings which far exceeds anything Flintoff has ever done with the bat for England.

Afridi > Flintoff.

Any questions?
Was GIMH (with help from my good self) right?

(Scroll down if your screen here holds only one post and then up for explanation)

I would like to accept the position of BLE detector, and would like pasag and Richard to be my sidekicks. Nice pic saggers.

Coming from the "person" who is here all day, every day, has almost 3,000 posts, and pounces on my every word almost as quickly as Richie.

If you added up all your alter-ego posts, I'm sure you'd have about 6,000 posts. Sad thing is, you've gone to the lengths to sign up to new accounts to do it.

I suggest tracing his home address and sending a CW mob round to deal with him

meh, I feel Flintoff's batting is over rated.
It is. Especially at test level. However, Afridi is the most over-rated batsman of all time, so the fact that Flintoff's batting is over-rated is not of any consequence.

Afridi is not a good batsman, by any stretch of the imagination. He's not just "inconsistent" as people claim - there is no way to be consistent in the manner he bats. To put it plainly, he bats like a ****ing idiot and he pays the price 99% of the time. Anyone can go out there and swing wildly, but it's not batting - it's just showboat slogging and it doesn't work.

Catch the Ashes of 2005? Flintoff certainly swung the ball both ways..

Hmm, since his renaissance at Test level, it's fair to say that it's been of a more than decent standard.

Yes, but the results won't be anywhere the same.

They lack both his eye and the power to back it up.
I disagree actually. I think if someone like Lara or Tendulkar dedicated his whole career to trying to slog it out of the ground every ball, they'd have results as good if not better than Afridi.

The fact is though, he averages 20 odd with the bat. That's disgraceful - most over-rated batsman of all time. Quite an under-rated bowler though IMO - his bowling has been over-shadowed by his over-rated batting.

That's not to say it isn't over-rated though. All I hear about Flintoff's batting (besides this summer in Australia) is that he's "dangerous" or "explosive" and is "a big wicket" when in reality, he averages in the low to mid thirties and he's one of the worst #6 batsmen going around at test level at the moment. He's not awful, but he is often spoken about as one of the team's best batsmen when really he is just decent.
