A serious drinking session 2moro nite for me.
Shocking stuff from the Kiwi's. Peter Fultons 12 off 30 was the key. He just put all the pressure back on NZ. Fleming got a hundred, but was really slow there at the end.
And you cant rely on your tail to get you out of trouble all the time

Very well done England, but that was just shocking from the Black Caps.
Someone should have told Fleming that it wasn't a Test cricket! Although he made a hundred, he cost us the game by batting so slowly IMO. The series has also proved that he'd lost it as captain too. Oram for captain post WC please!

That was unforgiveable. There was no way, considering the position we were in after 20 overs, that we should have lost that. And to finish the match with wickets still to spare was even more disappointing. Hope that gives Bracewell and some of the senior players the rocket up their ass they deserve - possibly the poorest chase where we've gone close that we've had in years.
Oh, and well done, England. Showed a bit of that British bulldog fight.

i feel sorry for em actually and Fleming too
but how good is Vaughans captaincy... he is DEFINATELY a specialist captain...
firstly his opening bowlers do **** as... then takes the powerplays off.. completely diff field..diff bowlers.. gets a wicket.. puts an attacking field [silly mid on.. is that what u call it? that really close guy under te nost of the batsman] i think thats really good coz its not like the new batsman will attack.. and also bringing mid on and mid off in at the exact times
and his rotating of the bowlers have been SPOT ON
we have a challenge for the finals :O Monty and Flintoff bowling together seems reallly good.. and Plunkett and Mahmood can go for ****loads but can also be a REAL handful... Colly as we have seen is steady...
and the batting, it seems that Strauss and Colly ... who are good at nudging singles and killing the bad balls etc. ...are in form now... and Dalrymple looks good in the last 10 overs
so we'll be really tested... despite this could be England C side they have played like 8 games together and u r bound to play well together after 8 games no matter what team u put i think

I dont think they outplayed us.. that game had us written all over it.. just some stupid decisions on our part lost it....
that game was ours for the taking the first 75% of the time

Couldn't agree more. That catch Fulton dropped off the first ball of the final over really proved costly.
Catches win matches as they say.
It really is time for a fresh approach in NZ Cricket though. We need a new captain and a new coach.

James90, I don't agree with any of those three statements - although Fleming in particular needs to take stock of his role in the team. I don't think Bond will last more than another year - although, at this stage, the decision is entirely up to him as far as I'm concerned.
