Pup Clarke
Cricketer Of The Year
Ever heard of an Injury?Incidenally, what's happened to Jon Lewis? One minute he's taking wickets-a-plenty, then he has a slight back strain, and then he's no-where to be seen. All very odd.

Weird gives it a run for its money. People always spell it "wierd"Not that rediculous (sic) really. He's nearly 32 and doesn't look that interested in cricket at the moment. Seems to have lost all confidence and aggression. His injuries, coupled with a pea-sized heart, could well see him retire sooner rather than later.
PS: Is ridiculous the most mis-spelt word in the English language? Don't want to sound like the spelling police (although that's impossible). It's up there with their/there/they're
And there I was expecting any posters here to read the bit in my post about the back injury and realise that I was asking if they knew about how it had developed. There's always one, I suppose.Ever heard of an Injury?
I know my answer sounds stupid but it's probably because they want to make sure he is in a perfect state for the WC.They probably also wanted to try other bowlers like Plunkett and Mahmood so that's why he's not been playing in the last 2-3 games.I don't know how the back injury has developed TBH.And there I was expecting any posters here to read the bit in my post about the back injury and realise that I was asking if they knew about how it had developed. tbh it read like you were taking the piss, hence my arsey reply. Apologies if I was mistaken.I know my answer sounds stupid but it's probably because they want to make sure he is in a perfect state for the WC.They probably also wanted to try other bowlers like Plunkett and Mahmood so that's why he's not been playing in the last 2-3 games.I don't know how the back injury has developed TBH.
Apologies if you thought I was taking the piss but I wasn't in case you were wondering.I geniunely thought you didn't think he had a severe enough injury to be out of action.tbh it read like you were taking the piss, hence my arsey reply. Apologies if I was mistaken.
No worries. Friends again?Apologies if you thought I was taking the piss but I wasn't in case you were wondering.I geniunely thought you didn't think he had a severe enough injury to be out of action.
I think the fact that Big Dunc sent Paul "****ing" Nixon in ahead of Ravi v the crims said everything about how little he fancies him. Colly will slot straight back in.Meanwhile, in the England camp, Vaughan is expected to replace Loye & Collingwood is due to return too. Presumably for Bopara. Presumably Colly's regained his form in the nets since Friday?
Haha, so true. As good as Bond is, he isn't as good as his record suggests and it will eventually even itself out.. they know this, hence suggesting his retirement so they can actually claim otherwise. Clearly he's a top quality bowler and easily the best NZ has to offer, whether he averages 19 or 25 at the end of his career...Honestly, every time Bond plays a couple of bad games, you read a few NZ posters saying that he should retire. It's as though they'd rather him remain a statistical freak and talk about "what could have been", rather than win them more games of cricket.
