Two peaches yesterday from Morten Gamst and like Tomáš Rosický, the guy doesn't score a bad goal. Brilliant!

Isn't it something to do with the fact that the transfer to West Ham was illegal in the first place, due to him being owned by a 3rd party?

Do you have the same view of the Senderos red?
Haven't seen it.

What I will add is that punishments should fit the crime, denying a good goal-scoring opportunity should result in a better goal-scoring opportunity - not reducing a team to 10 men.

It's because he played for Corinthians and West Ham already this season and you're not allowed to register to play for 3 clubs in the one season.

FIFA are cool with it because of the time which the Brazilian league is played is like last season + the off season compared to England which seems like common sense coming through unlike the FA's by the book and no leeway approach.

Yes, but as FIFA are fine with it that doesn't seem to be the answer.

I read something about it being to do with the previous owners, and this points deduction thing, may have misunderstood it.

Regarding the Manchester United - Tottenham game... This is the worst display of refereeing (sp?) I've ever seen in football. I'd say at least 50% of his foul calls have been wrong, to the benefit of no side at all, let alone the fans. Although the amount of booing is becoming pretty amusing.

This has been just brilliant from United today so far 4-0 ATM, baring no injuries to any key players i'll go out on a limp & say we will win the premiership this year. The quality of football has been excellent baring the odd blunder.

Grrr, 4 goals and Rooney & Larsson aren't involved in any of them. Way to disappoint me and my fantasy league side.

As transfer speculation goes I'd rate it as "distinctly possible". Regards of what Sir Alex says he's an employee of a PLC, the same as Ronaldo. Moreover, if a player (particularly one of Ronaldo's class) wants to move they almost invariably do.

It was reported even before the World Cup that Ronaldo was agitating for a move to Spain & I'm sure what transpired there only strengthened his resolve. It's to his immense credit that he's been the undoubted player of the season thus far, but if Real really want him & offer silly money (which £33m is, much less £45m) I think they'll get him.
On the Ronaldo going to Real Madrid front, I noticed this in today's Sunday Mirror:

Accidentally "bumped into" Real officials....

A question to MU fans, a few weeks ago I read that Alessandro del Piero said he turned down the chance to join your team, obviously because he so in love with the Old Lady that he wouldn't leave them even if they were in Serie C2/B, was anything ever mentioned on your forums/or in the newspapers in England?

Barely got mentioned at all in the United Rant forums as far as I can remember. We all knew about it but we didn't give it much thought.

yea thats true, i personally even though he's a top player didn't really want to see Del Piero here.

Anyway looking foward to Wednesday friendly, still yet to decide if i'll go or not, but this would be by starting XI:

4-5-1

---------------------------------------------------Robinson------------------------------------------------------------------

Neville--------------------------------Ferdinand----------------Woodgate-----------------------------------Bridge

Gerrard------------------------------------------Barton------------------------------------------------------------Barry

-----------------------------------------Lampard------------------Parker-------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------Rooney----------------------------------------------------------------

Want to start Lennon, but then Gerrard/Lampard in the centre doesn't work. But i reckon Mclers will play 4-4-2 with Crouch starting ahead of Barton or Parker

England need genuine wide players on both sides until they've got Owen back up front. Team are just going to push up the field against us, again, we'll keep losing the ball and we'll be lucky to score one unless we're up against rubbish.
