I think he's bowled fairly well in this match really. That was a genuine loosener but his first spell was pretty good IMO.

Great 50 from Hodge. Last 30 runs came in about 20 balls. Played himself in and then accelerated perfectly.

Incidentally, he's actually outscored Ponting so far in this partnership. Obviously Ponting's innings has been the centre of the chase, but Hodge has been more than just support.

Yeah, his wickets were from slog shots, but they were induced by some un-Franklin-like disciplined bowling. His economy rate compared to Gillespie, Bond and Oram shows this well really.
