I don't want to seem pedantic, but pad-making technology hasn't improved since Tyson's days either has it? That's not denying he was extremely quick, but I don't think bruising batsmen through their pads can be held up as evidence.Other than by the fact that he bruised batsmen through their pads, something no-one had ever done before or has ever done since...
I know you're not Lieng...you're Fraz!Yeah I remember now !! You are right ,As I mentioned earlier that I was may be wrong about 98 but it sure was over 96 ..
A person as per habbit just blindly and stupidly denied the fact that South Africa used the speed gun during 93-94 during some of their home series .So can you spot any clip please .
I perfectly remember it was a tri series b/w Pak ,SA and WI and Waqar clocked 95 MPH and Wasim did go o ver 91 MPH ........ I cannot find any video of it with the screen showing the speed radar too . Anyways for that idiot I have that series in shape of VHS so he will have to come and sit with me and enjoy it on VCR and I ll definitely show that person that I wasn't lieng...Then only I will get warning from Pickup that I have started fuss ... Hypocrisy at it's extreme in this world !!!!
Indeed. Bichel was reasonably sharp until the last year or two, but he was never a 90+ bowler, and he was certainly being clocked that way in the 03 WC.Whaaaat? Seriously?
I don't remember that!
It has, presumably, but why did no-one else get bruised through them in Tyson's day and before?I don't want to seem pedantic, but pad-making technology hasn't improved since Tyson's days either has it? At the start of said ODI, with him bowling breakbackers at 95mph, I could see Joyce being lbw at any time.I don't think Tait will be the fastest, I think there's a limit to which he can push his body with that action, and the faster he tries to bowl the more injuries he will sustain. He certainly won't be one of the best, unless he manages to mix pace with some sort of accuracy. Brett Lee is a far better bowler at the moment in my opinion, and I'm aware of a lot of people's opinions on here about him. Tait can bowl an unplayable delivery, but seems to mix it in with too many wide balls and other rubbish. He certainly not an answer in one-day cricket. (As I type this I'm thinking that today he'll go out and take 6 for 12 or something stupid! )
Burning the midnight oil Richard? At the start of said ODI, with him bowling breakbackers at 95mph, I could see Joyce being lbw at any time.
Soon, of course, the swing evaporated and he was happily spraying it.
But if he could attain some swing for a lengthy spell, it's inconceivable that he'd not do serious damage. If you can bowl full inswingers at 95mph, it only takes 1 delivery, and even if you make a batsman play just 1 out of 24 deliveries, that 1 can do the trick easily.
I vaguely remember him touching the 145kph mark in some game in Australia, presumably in 2000\01, but 150+?Indeed. Bichel was reasonably sharp until the last year or two, but he was never a 90+ bowler, and he was certainly being clocked that way in the 03 WC.
Uh?Burning the midnight oil Richard?
It must be late, (or early), over there in Old Blighty
Yep, looking forward to it too. Who ya pickin?Oh, yeah, it is - 2:30ish.
But I have a game to watch in 1\2hr's time, so no complaints there.
mmm. Will you be sticking to your "no posting in match threads" policy? Why do you have that policy, just out of curiosity? I would like to hear your thoughts throughout the matchWell if we can beat Aus...
What run 100m every 7.5 seconds? Um that hasn't happened. let alone any sprinter running 100m in 7.5 seconds.No. Study physics and you will understand why.
Match threads are one of the best things about CW imo.mmm. Will you be sticking to your "no posting in match threads" policy? Why do you have that policy, just out of curiosity? I would like to hear your thoughts throughout the match
