What a great team performance against very good team. Chaulk and Das were all brilliant with the bat, with Stedman supporting Chaulk very well. Rose, Goughy and Gundry continued there impressive combination they had for Green last season and all took critical wickets. Clapham and Fuller performance with the ball can't be underestimated, their defensive probably kept them under 250.

:) Top performance Guys. Especially Chaulk & Das with the Bat, & Gundry with the Ball. On a personal note it was nice to keep it tight, but i wouldn't mind a few wickets next time :)

Great team effort. Everyone contributed with the ball, we were sharp in the field and Chaulk, Das and Stedman were excellent with the bat. Exactly what you have to do to beat Australia.

edit: My 100th List-A wicket there, in my 100th match, oddly enough. Unless the last game counted as List-A...

Great win by the lads there. Chaulky on fire.

Just a quick question: Its quite clear that im sturggling to get a game in the first XI and when i do i seem to only get 1 or 2 tests in a row due to form of me and other players. As the Test series is almost over am i any shot to fly to Australia and take part in the 'A' series. Im worried that the guys that play in the A series are getting more exposure to the selectors as they are playing more often and will leapfrog me due to that.

If not then thats all good, will be lookin foward to the next season with the Reds.

Excellent stuff from Chaulk and the team all round. Pretty pleased to remain unbeaten at the end as well.

The good news? Fijian batsman Tiko Kida made an unbeaten 50.

The bad news? No one else turned up.

As a result, James Hopes got the first five-for of the tournament, nine batsmen were dismissed in single figures (two of them run out, to boot), and East Asia Pacific whimpered to 99 all out in their second game. Jaques and Katich filled their boots, and it was an easy ten-wicket victory.

East-Asia Pacific XI 99 all out (26.4 overs)
T Kida 50*; JR Hopes 5-22 [7.4], SW Tait 2-20 [6]

Australia A 100-0 (20.3 overs)
SM Katich 53*, PA Jaques 42*

Australia A won by ten wickets
Man of the Match: T Kida (EAP)

Ash Chaulk is in scintillating form at present, determined to break into the CW XI one-day international side by fair means or foul. Today, it was Hitchcock, Harris and McCullum who suffered from the rapier blade of the Black wicket-keeper, who smashed 151 unbeaten runs with four thundering sixes. James Stedman didn't want to be much worse, as the pair put up what must surely be a record partnership for any representative side; they batted through fifty overs, making a massive total of 316.

Despite the valiant efforts of Michael Papps, New Zealand never got near. Gundry bowled with threat throughout, nabbing four top-order wickets, while Rose ended the match prematurely with four wickets to finish with slightly flattering figures of five for 21.

Cricket Web A 316-0 (50 overs)
AP Chaulk 151*, JE Stedman 140*; CS Martin 10-1-39-0

New Zealand A 210 all out (44.2 overs)
MHW Papps 60; XPA Rose 5-21, PD Gundry 4-47

Cricket Web A won by 106 runs
Man of the Match: AP Chaulk (Cricket Web)
