Manuel Fernandes finally completes his loan move to Everton. Can anyone fill me in (Matt)? I didn't see him at all while he was at Pompey.

Very, very talented, but injury-prone. Classy yet hard-working, much in the style of Arteta - TBH you probably don't need another one of those types, but he'll do well for you. Disappointed we couldn't afford him on a permanent basis TBH.

Matthew Upson ends up at West Ham for £7.5m deal? Good move or not?
It's not a good move for the player I would suggest. However, considering how awful West Ham's back line is, he can only improve it. Though personally I don't think his anything special or even worth £7.5m.

It's most certainly not good news. I don't want that scumbag representing my country. He can go poke out cigarettes in people's eyes somewhere else.
And you want Glen Johnson to represent England, give over. Or David I just left my wife and kids James and don't particularly want to pay for them anymore.

Also where's the fury surrounding Woodgate's impending call up, correct me if I'm wrong he was found guilty. If you going to take a moral high ground then nearly every player who represents are country is a scumbag by definition. Barton’s had two fantastic years and deserves a call up, his put his head down and admitted to his mistakes. People like Glen Johnson, big time Charlie’s haven’t and for that reason should never represent their country. Also the fact that his not particularly good and was found out by Jose after a couple of weeks doesn’t really substantiate any claims that he should be in a England side.

At the risk of embarassing myself, what did Glen Johnson do?

In all fairness, half the England squad have rather shady pasts. John Terry being the obvious one who's gone on the bigger and better things.

Coventry going for the league of nations now - following our Maltese striker, we've signed the All White Che Bunce - can someone shed some light on him for me?

Loony BoB

International Captain
From what I've found online, he's captain of the NZ Knights who are at the bottom of the A-League (Australia's top football level). Center back who allegedly was trailing at Dundee United recently. 31 years old, so getting on a bit. Apparently good in the air and steely in defence, but that is of course the NZ Knights website saying that.

Has belonged to the following European clubs in his time...
Sheffield United (England)
Breiðablik UBK (Iceland)
Drogheda United F.C. (Ireland)
Randers FC (Denmark)

I hope Barton gets his chance. Sure, the lad was a bit of a nutter to say the least when he arrived on the scene, but he appears to be a reformed man now. His background doesn't seem to have done him any favours, anyway. He puts in strong, consistent performances for City every week and has the sort of spirit required, greater than that of Carrick, for example. Anyone who saw his appearance of Soccer AM a few weeks back will see that he's not a nasty, malicious character by any means.

He's alright. Been around for quite a while, playing in all sorts of countries, most recently here for the NZ Knights. Has been one of the more reliable players since he joined (about halfway through this season IIRC), mainly due to the fact that he doesn't usually try and get too tricky when clearing a ball. Scores the odd goal off corners/free kicks as well.

No relation to Frank as far as I know, though he is a pretty big guy.
