Yep, gun players are the way to go at the moment - not many teams floating about with big money (who are also willing to spend it).
Well what you advise i did if i sold Herbert and had around 7.5 m to spend. Buy 1 gun or buy a couple of strongs and a trainee?

Gun, easy. Strongs (well unless they've big secondaries) just make up the numbers and trainees are nothing without seasons of commitment.

A gun like that sensational would win you games and wouldn't even need a net. The true value of these sensational+ uber players is a lot more than what they sell for, just look at remarkables going for 5m, wonderfuls 6m and they don't even have matching secondaries. In a few seasons when a good few teams have even more money as standard you could sell him for a lot more than you bought him for to boot (if you wanted to sell them).

There's still a sort of ceiling where people run out of money at present, at the moment it's around 7-8 million.

Anyways in your position I'd prefer an uber all-rounder (because someone being say wonderful/wonderful, good secondaries would be way better than everything else as it is, a guy like Summers would be kinda overkill) although there are very few of these, you might be able to get a batting or bowling all-rounder, like a Watkins or Whitehorne. But it wouldn't stop me going for virtually any of these uber players that come up. You should prefer seamers over spinners as Adam has said, spinners can be irritatingly ineffective much of the time.

With this guy, I gather it would make a big difference to his performance if I could pop his concentration to a decent level, and that it'd happen quicker becaue he's 26? If I was to do it, how long would it take, and would it happen faster with a bowling or a fielding net? I think I suffered last season for not having sports psychologists, as a few of my players who trained for the whole time have a big imbalance between their primary and secondary skills.

Said there was nothing they could do. Be a bit of a nightmare for the GMs if they did start making individual changes to the database tbh, but if ever an exception could be made in extremis, you'd think this might be it.

Poor sod... :)

Edit: wow, that really was comfortably his best player, too.
