So...two years, so he can win successive Grand Slams?
yeah that's one big motivation....you need something to keep you going in the absence of anyone at your level...or even close....
dick enberg and mary carillo were talking about federer thinking about sampras' 14 slams, his 268(?) weeks at the top, connors' 160 odd consecutive weeks at the top(which he will break this year), connors' 109 titles, a career slam, a grand slam maybe etc...so the guy has some goals on his mind.....

Yeah I love seeing him dominate, never find it boring really, more-so the way he's able to make Gonzalez look fairly average whereas when Gonzalez came up against the #2, #5 and #12 player in the world, he absolutely murdered them and looked like a God.

Bored? I dont think so. I bet he wishes there was a bit more of a challenge but I dont think he gets bored beating people all the time. Like most professional tennis players he has been playing since he was four and he worked so hard perfecting his game that it would be foolish to say now that hes sick of beating everyone when that was his goal in the fvirst place.
I wouldnt be surprised if he retired quite young, maybe at the age of around 29-30, by then he would have been pro for 13 years and id say he'd be statistically better than anyone by a country mile.

Just needs to win the French. Then he's better than Sampras. If he does win the French and continues to dominate the others he will retire as the greatest.
