Spin twins doing a good job here again. Maybe it's the way to go in the WC. Ha, yet another example of how horrendously bad 3Tracker is as TV technology yet they still keep trying to use it and show us absolutely nothing.

Shaping up really nicely, this game. Australia in a good position, but without a spinner in the Australian team, the middle overs will be a little bit easier for NZ.

Who knows, maybe Cameron White will actually be useful on this pitch? Slow and turning a bit.

NZ still have 2 power plays we need to use some time.
Yeah. This would be the latest any captain has delayed using the first optional PP in any match. A few captains like Ponting and Fleming have delayed the second one on a number of occasions, but the first one is almost always used immediately, especially in the first innings.

I assume he's waiting for a wicket.

not really... Aus are already going at 5 an over with 9 wickets in hand and we still have 2 power plays... How can they not make 300+?

and we will lose 3-4 wickets in the first 20 so the game will be gone by the middle overs.

I've always been the viwl that only one power play can be taken from overs 11-20 and then another one to be taken from then on, because to be it is just the old 15 over field restrictions plus another five considering the way most captains use them.

It's a difficult wicket to score quickly on I think. Obviously 300 is on the cards if the spinners don't take wickets and one of Australia's hitters gets going in the late overs, but NZ have a reasonable chance to restrict Australia to 250-260, which is chasable against a team with no spin options.

Though of course, if I was putting money on it, I'd probably back Australia by 100 runs in a similar situation to the one you described.

So in other words New Zealand has no chance what ever they do? Why not just give the ball to Ross Taylor and Lou Vincent then?

With 2 power plays still left i think fleming is asking for trouble. I think if all goes well they can even think of 400+.
What was hayden doing there trying to copy mal loye?
