*Official* Australian Domestic Season Thread

Hughes is 17 or 18 and was from the NSW North Coast though I think he may have moved to Sydney now. He has made all the Australian and NSW in all the under age sides and seems to be quite a good prospect as a left handed opening batsmen.

Good to see Jaques get a decentish score for the 1st time in a while. Fair efforts from Paine & Bailey as well if the pitch was as bowler friendly as the scores suggests.

Has anyone seen this Brendan Drew bowl?? and if so what are your thoughts on him? His stats suggest he's been bowling well this season? (FC stats, only his 1st ever List A tnite)

Interesting to note that Cullen Bailey is currently playing for SA against Victoria, and Dan Cullen is not. Is there some sort of injury problem with Dan, or is this the official sign that Bailey is ahead of him in the longer form now? Either way, he made some runs, though he's only bowled trhe one over so far.

Jaques closing in on a double in the other game, though he was dropped on 21 and again on 71.

Vics 2/191 in reply to SA's 398

Hussey has made his 3rd century in 3 games and at stumps is 105* and Hodge 72*.

Has to be 'curtains' for MTG Elliot, doesn't it?

Out for just three. Having the Summer from hell.

No wonder Blewy is dirty he can't make the SA team.

Some remarkable results today. Bandy absolutely shredded Queensland. Anyone know much about him as a bowler?

Tasmania falling to pieces as well. 7 for 80 odd in reply to 500+

Bandy bowls little outswingers at about 120km/h. Nothing much to him at all - would have been a combination of batting batting from Queensland and a bowler-friendly pitch (Qld were sent in..).

Yeah, picked predominately as a batsman, will struggle trouble to batsmen when conditions aren't conducive to swing bowling though. In the Warriors squad because he won the Olly Cooley (best player in WA first grade) about 2 years ago after scoring piles of runs and taking a load of wickets. So yeah, has great potential as a batting all-rounder, may even sneak in for a few games in the ODI side after the exodus.
