runs! and getting smacked by Halsey...gosh.
good that we won though, although i'm not sure why Towns got mom...

Blatant typo.

Not sure why people mention these things when they're blatant typos. Halsey for MoM.
Break my heart why don't you. :(

But this is exactly the reasoning that Astle should have been MOTM for that test against England. Halsey deserves it.

Good show by our side in an incredible match, just enough to win it and I'm happy to once again contribute. :) Hopefully this form keeps up if I keep it up in the nets.

Collins approached by Victoria

In the absence of Greg Thomas with the Cricket Web XI, Victoria have approached left-arm medium pacer Adam Collins to lead their bowling attack. Collins, presently playing cricket with the Port-of-Spain Porters will have his contract bought out should he decide to accept the offer. He will then fly to Australia and begin his contract on Saturday.

Awesome news. Gone unrecognised for a long time, has Collins. Hope he does well. Will be interesting being in opposition for once too.

Derbyshire set to sign Smith

Sources with the club state that Derbyshire are prepared to sign Daniel Smith from the Laventille Bandits as a replacement for Rob "Delacruz" Dauth. Dauth will be serving for the Cricket Web XI in Pakistan and Derbyshire have been in talks with Smith's agent and his club side to negotiate a new contract. Though Smith has reportedly been "living it up" in Trinidad, sources suggest that the pay cheque he will receive playing for Derbyshire will "blow his mind".

Derbyshire is awaiting Smith's signature, but are eager to sign him in time for Saturday's first-class fixture.

I'd definately take up the contract. Dissapointing to leave the ladies, the booze and my loving partnership with Burpey (on and off the pitch, boy can drink up a storm tbh) behind with Laventille, but the money, did indeed, blow my mind.

I hope it's not raining in jolly old England. :(

A win in Smithy's last game, always a nice send-off. Glad to have taken a part in the winning of this match, 108* something I'm very pleased about.

We'll miss you Smith.
