Roddick is playing ok, i guess whats worrying for him is the fact he's had his serve broken twice in the opening set and thats supposed to be his weapon.

We all know Federer can play but this is astounding. Roddick is supposed to be in career best form and hes just not in the ballpark tonight. If this is how Federer is gonna play this year i wonder if anyone can beat him given that Nadal is looking mortal...

And now up a break in the third. Going to be hard for Roddick to even take it to a fourth from here.

I think one of the topics in the similar thread section below sums it up perfectly:

Probably just trying to draw out the match to give his sponsors some decent air time....

BARNES OUT
This is why tennis is **** to watch. For all the beautiful shots he plays, pretty much everything is a forgone conclusion before it starts. What's the point of watching if you already know the ending.

agreed.... as good a player as he is.... he needs an injury or something for a year, to make it interesting

its never a foregone conclusion but hes unbeatable when hes at his best, there will come a time when he has a form slump, but really its up to the other players to lift their game, too many players go on the court beaten at the start of the match...
