Nah, I meant that beating England in the WC semi might have something to do with the voters having their knives out.How/why? Did you persuade Jon_Boy to run?
Jon_Boy will win, eggy's an idiot.

True. The thing is, eggy's a lower league eejit who can talk the talk and seems pretty active on the conferences. Thanks to the pyramid system, he'll win a fair few votes from lower leaguers who'll see him as a sort of working class hero.Jon_Boy will win, eggy's an idiot.
You know, I've never really thought of that in respect to the BT cup draw.eggy, me and others were arguing how the cup should be drawn. The thing that makes the FA Cup what it is is the next level of teams are being introduced every few rounds.
Err they get to the later rounds or win and get more home games with proper crowds. The first two or three rounds are a farce at the moment, all a random cup would do is make it a bit more of a random farce. The FA Cup style just basically skips the first two rounds of pointless woeful/feeble team thrashing for the top teams. You know, I've never really thought of that in respect to the BT cup draw.
Having a two-stage contest, where the first three or four rounds are only contested between teams in Div IV or below...the higher division teams can then come in later.
The first three or four cup slots of the season could be used for a "champions' cup" between the cup winners in Eng, Aus, SL, WI, SA, Ind, Pak and NZ.
The thing is, what's in it for the Div III/II/I teams?
While absolutely not intending to vote for him, and while you and I sort of did this debate already, I don't think I'd penalise someone for taking this route. In fact for an NT manager I'd almost like to see the sort of end-result type attitude it exhibits. There undoubtedly is a motive in BT for demoting, and while people might piss and moan about how the Aussies threw a match in the WC, at the end of the day they won the tourney, arguably because of the choice they made. While I was almost certainly going for Jon_Boy anyway, the realisation that eggy relegated deliberately from IV completely rules him out. For me, anyway.
Oh yeah. Oops.Err they get to the later rounds or win and get more home games with proper crowds.

I thought of that little discussion as soon as I posted, as it happens. While absolutely not intending to vote for him, and while you and I sort of did this debate already, I don't think I'd penalise someone for taking this route. Yep looks right.Oh yeah. Oops.
There are 168 teams in Div III or above, and 580 in IV or above. So...
That's the number of teams in each cup round, with the big boys coming in at round 5.Code:Rd Total <III III+ 13 2 12 4 11 8 10 16 9 32 8 64 7 128 6 256 5 512 344 168 4 688 688 0 3 1376 1376 0 2 2752 2752 0 1 5504 5504 0
Looks about right for England and Australia, and could be easily modified for the smaller BT nations.
Yeah; at higher levels, if you're clearly outclassed, I don't see the problem. Doing it in IV/V, it smacks of kicking the s*** out of newbies a bit. You've definitely got a point - personal pride should go right out of the window. I still think it's a bit weasely (weaselly?) to duck out of IV though.
I'll look forward to that oneI might run for NT later on in the year or whenever the elections are, think I'll have to be to putting all these people and their stupid questions in their places - none of this pansy diplomatic rubbish.

Well the bowling will be very low, the other stuff could be anywhere.Got my quick bowler I've been looking for - thinking he's quite a good deal:
£205930 - is he near the top in any of the categories? May give him a couple of nets if so.Code:Age: 20 Years Old Battrick Rating: 6,711 (+121) Wages: £1,163 p/w Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: abysmal Concentration: feeble Bowling: proficient Consistency: feeble Fielding: mediocre
One thing I wouldn't mind knowing is what the hell is the 'bharattrick' forum? I've tried searching for it on Google and got nothing...Meh, you'll have to answer plenty of stupid questions if you get the gig ('my mediocre batsman is averaging 150 in my league which contains seven bots, why isn't he in the NT?!'). It's alright though, you don't have to do much with the NT job really, unlike the U19 job.
So not worth it then really?Well the bowling will be very low, the other stuff could be anywhere.
