What were the odds of both Liverpool and Arsenal winning Mr. Jono Augustus?
Both were individual favourites, but I didn't check a multi.

I was quite close to putting money on both Liverpool and Arsenal winning or drawing (not just winning), but just went with Arsenal. Would have been a good multi bet had I done it.

I half figured this was going to happen.

I have worked it out, since Pardew was sacked by West Ham and their first game under Curbishley and had they won that (Man U), beaten Newcastle and not lost to Arsenal last night they would be 13 points clear at the top. Despite all their problems, Chelsea must be loving this as it must tell a lot about the leaders and their inability to take their chances in their eyes.

And another funny transfer story has come out with Juventus wanting to spend £30m to sign Steven Gerrard. First it was Sissoko (more believeable), then Crouch () and now Gerrard. Who's next? John Arne Riise? Even if their was a hint of truth in this story, if Gerrard would turn down a move to Chelsea then he would turn down a move to Juventus or even leave England? He loves Liverpool too much and he of all people will know how well Ian Rush turned out when he played for Juve (and gave one of the finest football quotes of all-time ).

And for you United fans, Giuseppe Rossi scored the winner for Parma in the game against Tornio.

I'd be very surprised if either team is "loving this" - both teams have failed to take their chances, not just one. So Chelsea could be leaders by now, but they aren't - why would they love it?

I'm content. Gutted with the result, but content with the situation.

And after all his struggles at Newcastle...
Giuseppe Rossi marked a sensational Parma debut with the only goal in a 1-0 win over Torino. The Italian U21 striker, who was outstanding throughout, beat four defenders before hammering in his late strike.
:) About time.

The Gunners came back just as how United came back to beat Bayern in the famous night in barcelona. This season could yet turn into more than a 2-horse race..

Advance warning for all - Mighty Whites live on Sky Sports this Friday, 7.45pm GMT, a chance to see the world's greatest footballer in action (if he is fit, that is).

Craigos, if this is shown down under, I fully expect you to view.

Agree wholeheartedly with this post. He'll surely get to show his class now and hopefully confirm the faith I have in him as well as a fair few million other people.

Gutted.

Fair play to Arse - dunno what we were doing wasting time though.
True. Turned out to come back and haunt us in the end. Still wondering how Evra lost track of Eboue though. Ronaldo had him covered all night yet Evra who's supposed to be a defender or rather wing back lost his man. Two completely avoidable goals there but in the end it's still a good situation with the 6 point lead intact.

Think you're being extremely harsh on Evra; Eboue & Fabregas had to play an absolutely fantastic one-two for Emmanuel to get half-a-yard of space for the cross. Only mistake he made was following the ball rather than the man. Vidic was more at fault; should've been far tighter on Henry (not renowned as a header of the ball).

Granted re: Vidic. He was heading at thin air. I still think Evra should have done better though.

In that I mean in that United haven't been extend their advantage and they will see the gap of 6 points as very chaseable and will back themselves to get it right soon and chase the lead down.

Sadly not, they don't show League 1 down here. A travesty I know.

In other news Milan Baros joins Lyon and in treturn Aston Villa get probably one of the few footballers who are as tall (if not taller?) then Peter Crouch in John Carew. Good move or not?
