No one is debating. You're just repeating yourself ad infinitum.
I'll probably continue to do that for the rest of Akhtar's career so you might as well get used to it. He's a chucker, a drug-cheat, he has the heart of a pea, feigning injury when he's getting belted. I just dislike the man immensely and it's criminal that he can still be playing. It doesn't mean I have any beef with Pakistanis in general

We get it . Who are you trying to convince by repeating it every post?

I'll tell you what. Pick one of the many posts you have on the topic, and link to it from your sig. That way, everyone's happy and you can stop polluting the thread.

Aside from everything else, did anyone else notice the old man Jacques Kallis touchin 90mph today, should be considered a fast bowler imo.

Just heard on GEO TV that Kamran Akmal's father has been shot during a carjacking. He's in a hospital but I don't think he's injured too badly. Hope everything turns out alright for him.

Now, sensitivities have changed and bleeding hearts care more about the fact that xmillion people (who dont have tvs btw) who werent even the subject might be offended than the fact that players are being verbally and physically abused - it's a joke
All living in huts then? How about all those frickin complaints mailed in from around the world?

Your comments are starting to get suspicious Social, very much indeed.

All the best to Kamran and his Dad, sad to hear. Will he carry on playing in this test?

Echoed, that must be horrible for his dad and himself. Hope he recovers soon.

What country was it in? Does it mention whether he'll leave the tour?

Still have huge respect for Andrew Hall for recovering the way he did from it. :thumbs_up

I only just realized that Makhaya Ntini is on the verge of 300 Test wickets (299) whilst reading a CricInfo comment on the first day's play. Now, I've always had great respect for him as a bowler, but I didn't realize that he had achieved so much. Here's hoping that Mohammad Sami is not his 300th.

I expected them to make their complaints and then MOVE ON. I did not expect them to come whining about the same thing over and over and over again.
To be fair though this is Akhtar's first game since he was let off, and by all accounts his offence was the worse of the 2, so some comments were likely.

That said I would expect comments for any game the 2 play between now and the WADA appeal.

Simply making the point that a relatively low proportion of Pakistan's population have access to these facilities

Of those, it's reasonable to assume that not all have access to coverage of the test series whilst not all speak English fluently enough to decipher what Gibbs said in any event

As such, the vast majority are gleaning second-hand reports from other forms of media whose role it is to both break and create news. Should the media portray it as a racist act, then that's what it'll be accepted as being.

Anyway, back to the cricket

No doubt in my mind that the scores dont accurately reflect the quality of the pitch or the bowling

Both sides were guilty of throwing plenty of wickets away with poor strokes and you'd have to think that someone will play a big innings before this match is over

Kaneria could be Pakistan's trump card as his action and rhythm are the best I've seen from him in ages (his bowling arm is lower enabling him to get more spin and drift on the leggie) and the Saffies arent the greatest players of spin.

However, I've got the feeling that SA could build a good total second time around as they'll have the pick of the batting conditions and Pak's back-up to Kaneria doesnt look that crash-hot to me. Shoaib and Asif's figures have definitely flattered them to date (they're both down on pace and obviously wont be match fit yet) whilst Sami is Sami

Alot of whinging and badmouthing going on as a result of Asif n Shoaib playing. I think its more a case of them performing more then anything else. They were unbanned for using arguablt the most controversial drug in the world.. a drug that other high profile sportsmen took and got free because a proper case could be established against that usage. And peopel still crying about Shoaib n Asif. Those people seriously need a life..

I would love to see the two tear apart batting lineups in the coming months on their way to a world cup victory. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen. But I'd be happy for two. Also, it would be a pleasure to see all the biased cricket fans burn out in anger/frustration whatever you wanna call it as a result of the possible successes of the two. Anyways, bottomline is all this ruckus would have been non-existant if the two failed to pick up any wts and SA scored 400 runs on day one. End of story ..

Could somebody please tell me, why on earth is Mohammad Sami still playing for Pakistan?

To be fair, yes he has and he kept it pretty tight which was unusual. But an average of over 40 from 20 odd matches suggests that he will never be anything special.

Actually it's not that clear cut, since the comments started before the game started.

Shoaib and Woolmer had a big argument in the dressing room before play got underway today, Shoaib was ranting and raving, pointing and mouthing off and in the end Woolmer just walked away and Inzi had to have a team meeting.

I just saw that too. It looked very heated. Obviously all is not well in the Pakistani camp and certainly no love lost between Shoaib and Woolmer. I'm surprised they showed it on TV actually
