Martins' game is largely based on finishing?!?

He's a poor finisher generally because he tries to hit everything so hard, decent finisher outside the box where his hit or big miss method is less of a problem but probably overrated again because when he scores he's usually smashed the ball hard into the top corner. A bit like Roberto Carlos there with any goal he scores looks great on the highlights but otherwise he wastes far too many chances. Martins play is based on his physical ability, other than that he's competent with both feet... generally average or worse at everything else from what I've seen.

Well I heard Lucas Neill is almost set to join West Ham with a whopping paycheck to boot, while Watford striker Ashley Young has a bid accepted from Aston Villa for £8m and if he joins it could Milan Baros could end up at Lyon.

Martins was sold by Inter Milan because they felt his finishing was not up to much. He misses a ridiculous amount of one on one chances and Scaly's summary is pretty spot on for mine. His got pace and strength but his finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

Definitely. FIFA is the easiest game in the whole world, I remember how on FIFA 2002 I scored from the halfway line in my second ever match once a mate told me how. For people who care more about how a game looks than how it plays.

Right about Martins. He's more like Torres. Made a little mistake there but the Crouch comparison is more apt.
