Shame, I heard Canada made 292-5, and didnt see Scotland chasing that down. Ah well, its a good effort from the lads.

Good use of the Dutch affirmative there.

Good win for the Scots too, didn't think they could pull it off.

Och aye the noo! It's 150 years since the McKangas left Scotland but I still feel a tinge of pride. Sound like some fairly fierce cricket going on over there in Mombasa.

It sounds like Canada's match versus Kenya is cancelled due to food poisoning (or so it seems).
Which renders my earlier rant against the Canadian's lack of professionalism invalid.
Full and unreserved apologies to any Canadians for that - not their fault at all.

It seems all teams are affected somewhat, so fingers crossed tomorrow's game can go ahead

Was Darrell down to stand in this one?

If so it would be remarkable for him to be involved in a forfeiture two matches out of three.

Thats weak, Obviously the Kenyan public couldnt bear to see Canada suprise Their cricket team in their own backyard by 7 wickets, so they poisoned the food. Probably

Shades of Tottenham Vs West Ham May 2006, without the game being called off

C'mon Canada

Well the latest on the forfeit seems to be that the illness has been diagnosed as "viral exacerbated by the massive change in conditions" i.e Canada travelling from 0 degrees to 35+ without leaving long enough to acclimatise. Not food poisoning after all, though no doubt this will rumble on for a bit as the ICC investigate.

The fact that Canadian coach Andy Pick has apologised for not raising a team speaks fairly clearly.

Regards the locals, Kenya have actually lost big time on this. There were about 15 schools going to bring kids to watch and learn about the game, many for the first time. Hopefully, they will be able to come to one of the other matches, but if not, that is a real blow to cricket in Mombasa. :(

Ravi Shah has just made his maiden ODI hundred, 113 from 121 balls, with eight fours and three sixes. Tikolo fails again. No-one else passes 39 (Odoyo).

Scotland 2-0 after an over in reply to Kenya's 259-9.

Has it not also been said that others at the series have been hit by the same virus though?

Sometimes things cannot be helped.

thats the story Cricinfo tells, yes it has to do with it, but the poisoning started because of the body being weak.
