Seriously have you seen the standard of college cricket in NZ? (I am talking the top level stuff) I have, and it isn't pretty.

Have you seen the quality of our domestic cricket?

Have you seen the quality of the players coming into the side?

Have you seen the number of supporters at games at all levels?

I can't see it surviving the way things are going at the moment. Something has to change.

You're right that the standard needs to improve but I prefer to think of a less apocalyptic future for the game in NZ then you predict

His name is Sonny Shaw... don't know how he affords watching sport all year round. As Fiery said he has a dodgy past, probably why the media don't have anything to do with him.

In more positive news - it looked like Millsy bowled well today and Styris is bowling as well so he should be back soon.

Pretty crap if you ask me. I didnt think england would even be competitive tbh. NZ looks very very scratchy so far coming closer to the world cup. Lets just hope that this line-up is not going to be the same one as used there. McCullum again started well but in my mind its now time to put him back down the order. Will hope to see Gillespie bowl well today.

Looking at the scorecard, it looks like he bowled the last over and they got all-out. :)

There seem to be a lot of fatalist Black Cap fans around. OK, we've batted poorly in our last 3 games but it's a long way out to the World Cup and we have 3 front-line injured players to come back into the side before then. Keep the faith Black Cap supporters.
