Franklin just weakens both our batting and our bowling. He shouldn't be there.

I think Ryder should be in and CANNOT understand why he's been ignored. How does Bracewell not see that we need to strengthen our batting order? (Don't anyone answer that - I already know why he can't see it)

exactly :D

Whoa, the kiwi fans are almost as cynical as us English.
We are trying....... NZ cricket is a cynicism inducing organization. We continually leave talented players at home and take gritty battlers with all the talent of mute opera singers.

We have a coach that ranks among the intellects of Mr Bean and Mr Ed. And frankly, most NZ cricket fans are just waiting for the glorious, sparkling clear day when John Bracewell has vacated the post he had so doom inducingly usurped. I remember that day. I felt a cold wind that cut me in half, a bright day was suddenly blackened by intimidating clouds and a cackling, vampirish laugh was carried on the breeze to all parts of the cricketing land.

I had been a fan of Franklin but my patience has finally run out.

Should McCullum be given another go at opening or should he head back down the order in the next match?. If so, how will the team work?.

My opinion is Ryder should come in for a straight positional swap but Bracewell has not even put him in the thirty for the world cup.:-O :@ What else can we do but

Someone mentioned to me that Ryder had disciplinary issues a couple of years back and that's why Bracewell isn't selecting him.

I hadn't heard that. Has anyone else heard that? What was the deal? It seems a bit of a stupid reason when we so clearly need someone like him at the top of the order right now.

Has Craig McMillan got any ‘East Asian’ blood in him?

Bears an uncanny resemblance to a guy who works in my local Chinese takeaway…

Brilliant bowling change from Vaughan there. England easily favourites now. Vettori and Franklin should put on a few runs though but 200 will be a mission.

Five down, New Zealand have been abject tonight. For evidence, have a butcher's at Paul Collingwood's figures, only Sri Lanka on a greentop or Bangladesh could conspire to play him so poorly.

I dont know about you guys but listening to the commentary, it sounds a bit as if McMillan is playing a .......wait for it.............mature innings.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Geeze, if we can make 200+ we'll be lucky. I was looking forward to watching this match today but I've stopped watching and will only go back to the TV once it's time for NZ to bowl.
