Still need 4 more overs from the spin options. Will be interesting to see when Ponting uses them.
Both have Test centuries! Yes, my optimism is endless...and futile.both are "tailenders" [Arguable]
I am not quite sure that will happen. England and New Zealand at least should have much closer games. For one, at least some of the Pom players have been in Australia for a while. For two, England are not that bad a one day side if we look at players on paper. Sure, they have been crap in recent times in the game but it may be because they were focussing much more on the Ashes regardless of whether that was the right approach.Still.. we should demolish england ^_^
Australia always keeps fighting which means that they can create dismissals like the Clarke run out and take a flurry of wickets if the other team lets up even a little over just a small time. So while teams may win sessions (like even England did during the recent Ashes), to win matches against Australia or at least have close matches, there have to be many good performances and teams have to keep on fighting each over, each session - not easy for cricket teams to do.What a odd match this was....
We lost the game... however
- Bonds Hattrick
- Taylors innings
Ahh well.. tuesday should be nice 2 watch
Styris for McMillan, Mills for Franklin, Oram for ?????Get Styris, Oram and Mills on the next plane
Patel probably. Need to strengthen the battingStyris for McMillan, Mills for Franklin, Oram for ?????
His ODI debut?!Lovely over from Johnson. Getting hard to remember him bowling badly in an ODI now.
They wont do that. He will open in the next game but it might be his last chance I thinkand McCullum simply must go back down the order!
Oram, and Styris are apparently coming in for the 4th game that NZ plays. I heard that Mills is only bowling at half pace for Auckland and is not expected to be fit for the entire series.Get Styris, Oram and Mills on the next plane. In for McMillan, Franklin and Patel
