NZ are not much better, a pack of no names and Bond is who is just medium fast these days. Australia will run amok this series.
You don't recall Fleming, Astle and Vettori? You'll be remembering the names Brendon Barrie McCullum and Ross Luteru Taylor by the end of the series. And you'll find Bond will bowl just as quick as Lee in Aus conditions.

"Luteru" :laugh: :laugh:

I thought the Poms showed some spine today. They batted with some thought, and played to their strengths (i.e. working the ball around and laying a platform for KP and Flintoff). Shame about KP though - a savage blow to England and to a Series which is ridiculously and cynically protracted. As for Australia, well Johnson sure looks a blue chip prospect. In fact, he's more than a prospect. At least on the ODI scene, he's 'arrived'.

When it rains it pours…

Although according to the Sky boys this could be a positive and be a great chance for a youngster to come in, Mal Loye it is then. Though saying that at least he doesn't tit ass around like the vast majority of are top order, who enjoying nothing more than wasting excessive amount of deliveries then preceding to play moronic shots. Paradoxically when they are batting with one of the finest cricketers in the world, who has a career strike rate over 90 and is going at a run a ball already.

To be honest, that really isn't funny at all. I would say exactly the same thing it was an Australian player, so no bias. Get a life mate.

Moderately amusing, though only because he was charging down the wicket when it happened. It's a pretty good picture too. Bit of a childish post though. ;)

Could this tour get any worse for England?

No.

Their batting today was slow and uninspired on a deck that offered so much to the batsmen. They really are the lower echelon in one day cricket, I think the Bangers would give them a run for their money at the moment. I don't think anyone expected England to perform, but that was one of the easiest Aussie wins I've seen in a long time.

Pietersen hit more runs and at a faster rate than Clarke and Hayden, and more runs than Gilchrist. Flintoff scored at a quicker rate than all of the Australia top 4. Vaughan scored at a quicker rate than Hayden and Clarke. England hit more 6s than Australia.

I suggest you watch the game next time.
