I guess he won't be best friends with Asif after all. That said, its only 5 overs and with Amla and Kallis in, things could settle down for Saffies.
What about Amla's presence makes you think things will settle down for South Africa? Is it the fact that he averages under 25 in test cricket? Or is it the fact that he only has three scores above 50 and two of them came on ridiculously flat pitches? Maybe it's because 8 out of his 19 innings have been single figure scores.. or is it because he just got dropped by second slip? Or is it just the simple fact that his technique is horrible and not suited to international cricket?

I'd really like to know.

Its the fact that he looks so much like Yousuf wits his helmet on. I guess his 149 against the Kiwis made an impression on me, but a look at his stats suggests he's quite ordinary. Not exactly the perfect number three for South Africa.

Why is Dale Steyn not playing? One would have thought that hed be ideal for these conditions- given how poor the rest of the SA attack is when it comes to swing bowling.

Kallis gone now. HUGE wicket. Totally wish either a) somebody else was taking all these wickets or b) Asif was never involved in the scandal.
