Thanks PY. That sucks. He is/was highly watchable. How can this tour get any worse for England? Any ideas?Bottom edged pull (I think) from McGrath into his right-hand ribs and job done.
Maybe they will call up Anthony McGrath as his replacement...That sucks. He is/was highly watchable. How can this tour get any worse for England? Any ideas?
Haha, it wouldn't suprise me if your right after his Keeping AND batting efforts in todays game.I take it Nixon's been selected at 36 years old due to his strong debating skills!?

Couldn't you say that about virtually any match though?SquidAU said:The matches between the Kiwis and the Poms will either be interesting or walkovers....
No no....surely you can win ONE game.....I mean, you beat the Windies in the Champions Trophy!Let's face it, we're screwed.
Why isn't Cook in this squad anyway? They should have found a spot for him instead of stacking the side with average-to-**** all rounders. Surely he's a better cricketer than guys like Dalrymple, Lewis and MahmoodOf course, the other way to replace KP is to move Strauss back to where he's played most of his decent oneday innings and let Cook open and see if he can maintain his oneday average of a tad under 50 at the top of the innings.
He may well be better than Joyce, but whether he is "better" than the other two is both hard to argue and irrelevant, considering Dalrymple is in the team as a bowling allrounder and Lewis is in the team to open the bowling. As far as those two roles are concerned, Cook most certainly isn't better than either of them. Why isn't Cook in this squad anyway? Looked to be running pretty gingerly after that last Ponting boundary.btw is Fred remotely fit, judging by the heap of dung that he's sent down today?
Thanks to KPNo no....surely you can win ONE game.....I mean, you beat the Windies in the Champions Trophy!
You're probably right. I edited my previous post having thought about it a bit moreHe may well be better than Joyce, but whether he is "better" than the other two is both hard to argue and irrelevant, considering Dalrymple is in the team as a bowling allrounder and Lewis is in the team to open the bowling. Yeah, but more so for any matches involving NZ.Couldn't you say that about virtually any match though?
You still seem to be totally missing the point though. All the players you listed are in the squad for their bowling more than anything else, and Cook can't bowl. You're probably right. I edited my previous post having thought about it a bit more
That might have something to do with his beard.Looked to be running pretty gingerly after that last Ponting boundary.
Fair enough. I just read it as a bit captain-obvious-ish. It's a fair point though really - NZ are really inconsistent lately.Yeah, but more so for any matches involving NZ.
I honestly don't know whether to expect them to crush a side, get a close contest, or get rolled for 73...
