Wasn't a wide ball at all. But you're right, he bowls those wide outswingers which are very tempting but very successful.

I feel we should have opened with Hafeez and Hameed and sent Kamal/Younis at 3/4. Iqbal down the order like he is now. Farhat should stick to ODIs.

Why would the best technically equipped Pakistani batsman struggle in SA?

I actually got on him for most runs for Pakistan. It was out of him and Inzy and I backed Younis, seeing as Yousuf is not there.

Its a little trick I try when I want someone to do well, be absolutely negative about them. And before you think I'm pulling a Dravid () I have said in the past around here myself that I consider Younis a better batsman than even Yousuf (though I said it before he went on a run-fest).

IMO, Younis is Pakistan's best player

I know Yousuf has scored a mountain of runs of late and Inzy is excellent, but this guy stands up in the tough situations (Old Trafford last year was a classic example).

He's technically excellent and scores at a good clip

But, to be fair, SA have bowled rubbish for much of this session and the Pakistanis have been good enough to put it away
