No he didn't. The ball he got Sachin with (If you're referring to the 1st innings in Joburg) was a ball just on off stump with a little swing, and just back of a length where you don't know whether to come forward or back.

Wasn't a wide ball at all. But you're right, he bowls those wide outswingers which are very tempting but very successful.
Apologises, didn't Kallis get someone in that game driving, Dravid? Or have I lost the plot?

I feel we should have opened with Hafeez and Hameed and sent Kamal/Younis at 3/4. Iqbal down the order like he is now. Farhat should stick to ODIs.

Pakistan should be able to get a decent score...around 300. But without Yousuf, it can be a challenge.

I gotta wonder when someone is going to hit those electronic advertising boards and break one.

:(

I don't expect Younis Khan to do too well on these pitches tbh, but hope he proves me wrong.
Why would the best technically equipped Pakistani batsman struggle in SA?

I actually got on him for most runs for Pakistan. It was out of him and Inzy and I backed Younis, seeing as Yousuf is not there.

Its a little trick I try when I want someone to do well, be absolutely negative about them. And before you think I'm pulling a Dravid (:p) I have said in the past around here myself that I consider Younis a better batsman than even Yousuf (though I said it before he went on a run-fest).

IMO, Younis is Pakistan's best player

I know Yousuf has scored a mountain of runs of late and Inzy is excellent, but this guy stands up in the tough situations (Old Trafford last year was a classic example).

He's technically excellent and scores at a good clip

So SA need some wickets in the 3rd innings. If Pakistan can score another 100-120 runs, without losing more than 1-2 wickets, it'll set them up beautifully for tomorrow.

How is the pitch guys? Is this like the 3rd test between India and SA or is there something more in it for the faster bowlers? What is a good score on this pitch?

Top batting wicket - good pace, little movement and consistent bounce

But, to be fair, SA have bowled rubbish for much of this session and the Pakistanis have been good enough to put it away
