What's the point of that? The umpires have been very poor, and India has had the majority of the calls go against them.

As Dravid said, Karthik was going to take strike.

What's your motivation here Sanz?
Show me one series where Indian fans have not complained about umpring. They will complain even if umpring is flawless. They set unreasonable expections off their team in their mind and when those expectations are not met they start blaming umpires for their players incompetence.

As for my motivation - I decided some time back that I am not going to complain about poor umpring because IMO, it is part of game and it eventually balances out. Sometime you get it in your favor, sometimes you dont.

I've been on CW for two years now and this is the first series I've seen Indian fans consistently complaining about umpiring. They should be doing it too. I don't like to make those kind of excuses, but when you get 15-20 decisions go against you in 3 tests, you can't really take it as "just a part of the game". Eventually, it balances out? No, far from it in this series. Something like 18 to 4 and we've kept count. That said, we've played like crap too.

Haha, blame the umpires. It wasn't the shoddy fielding and shoddier batting. Two run out in a test match are completely inexusable.

Stop shifting the blame. Your team sucked in this test when the wicket was designed for them, admit it.

Can you tell me when I said they didn't suck? Infact I even admited they were idiots for running them self out. But that doesn't excuse the umpiring.

Not when he's a leg spinner and he's bowling the 8th over.
I don't think you could call the situation "dire" though - just a case of Dravid cutting to the point. If India are going to win this match, Kumble will take a bag. I'm sure he'll prove more effective that Sreesanth on this pitch regardless of the age of the ball. The close of play is soonish too so it's not like you are wasting Kumble with the new ball.

And as I talk, Zaheer takes a wicket. De Villiers is not an opener IMO - I've made up my mind on that. Gibbs isn't either though. I'd give Dippenaar or Rudolph a go opening, drop Amla and move Kallis up to 3. De Villiers can bat 5 or 6.

And when you said "Your" team sucked, showed me how much of an Indian supporter you really are

FFS, we're not idiots. No one is going to forget about our own incompetence just because we acknowledge the **** umpiring. That's ********.

You can acknowledge the bad umpiring without blaming the loss on them. Huge difference. Aussies never had a bad game with the umpires? Yet they win all the time despite that.

Lol.

What I've found in my time on this board during Indian losses (particularly the ones that hurt the most) you've got a whole lot of different members who react differently. You have some who make excuses and blame umpires to release their frustration (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not), then you've got others who have a go at people who blame the umpires (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not), that being their way to release frustration. Overall you end up with a whole lot of angry people.

Ah well, life goes on. I've always found that during an Indian cricket loss, the worst thing is to actually be with or talk to a fellow Indian fan. There's almost always going to be an argument.
Actually It's not about having a go at people out of frustration. Because I had plenty of opportunity to vent my frustration on my my fav. topics ;) in this test, esp in our second innings (e.g. Tendulkar's failure, Sehwag's failure, Laxman's and Zaheer's runouts, team management's decisions to open with Sehwag etc) but I didn't because I dont want to get into that endless debate again.

I reacted about umpiring complains because people are making too much of it. as If Munaf was going to take India to 300.
